    Hi Darbla!

I do and have missed this wonderful site....ah life , it keeps getting in the way...but I am determined to get back in here more and more often, if for no other reason that it is good for ME to be around all you good folks that love all the candles and all the other wonderful creative stuff that I do. :) I have missed you all.

It's been a LONG LONG time since I was making candle/wickless/b&b and was probably going to continue to be out, UNTIL my best friend ( now " enabler" ) decided to get into all of this and was asking me for suggestions and help.  I have fought for months not to give in, but I can't help it............. the FOHO in me popped right out and blew a raspberry at me LOL. Now living in south Alabama, I was living in Gatlinburg Tn or Cullman Al when I was active on here , so being in a new area, I'm going to have to change my thinking and scent lines due to the change in locations and people's preferences... this should be interesting LOL .

I've already noticed a few names I remember from back in the day on this and another forum that is no longer an active place, so you guys have made it easier for me to decide to give it a go again, seeing everyone here still active !!!

Just a rundown on what I used to do , in case anyone wonders lol

I used 4794 for all of these except the bleeding tapers

I did  A LOT of dipped toilet papers ( scented, colored, seriously decorated )

Clamshell  tarts ( looks out of the corner of my eye  wondering if YC is gonna zap me for using "tart" )

    Some dipped bears/plushy's

    Dipped Pine cones

    Cedar fires starters

    Bleeding taper candles

MP soap using a modified version of Prairie Annie's recipe

    ( loaf and some molds)

I am glad so many are still around and active in their business, hobby and on this forum and I can't wait to see what all everyone's been up too !!

    Hi Kat!!!!

Yes, it has been a long time....so glad to see you back girl! You remember when you, Laurie and I met ...I believe it was Applebee's in Sevierville? I don't know if you are aware , but sadly Laurie passed away.  I have thought a lot about you over the years hoping you were doing great after you had moved from here. I am so glad to see you are back at it again! You created the prettiest things!  :)

OMG Puma!  Where have you been?  I've missed you!  Oh thankyou for posting this.  Means a lot to me!

Ever since I put up this post back in 2015 when i landed this account, this account has been non stop going...I am so lucky...I guess blessed as some would say.  From the first day when I got that first big order from them I've been bringing them minimum 75 candles every week.  They don't even know I'm coming cause I don't know 1/2 the time myself.  It's a dream account for these past years.  They pay up front b/4 I even have them made....now how often does a store do that.  It's really an honor system we have going between us.   The woman who owns the orchard is sad to say has had cancer for many years and she goes for chemo treatment every week but she is so upbeat and just so nice and so very young.  The Merciers Orchard is a family owned business, very religious....just good down to earth family people.  They are famous for their apple pies which they ship all over the country.  One day I was chatting with 1 of the workers there and she told me one day she got an order for 1 apple pie from California and this guy paid for the pie and paid over 100.00 to ship 1 apple pie to him...lol.....They also make their own wines and hard cider...Great shop and account.

So great to hear from you Puma!!!!

Oh gracious friend...where do I begin Trappeur? It has been a LONG 7 months. My sister had to have the major back surgery w/the rods running the full length of her back w/32 screws..I stayed the whole week in the hospital with her..boy am I glad..there are just not enough nurses and nurses aides to go around and i feel blessed to have been with her the whole week in the hospital to help..but man..what a week! shew! Then we have been helping her out since then...at first she could do nothing and now she is able to do some things, but still in pretty major pain at times..Dr said it could take a year to heal well.  THEN MY husband had back surgery this spring and me and the kids  have had to do ALL  the bending over stuff that my husband has not been able to do. I had to wash him in the shower, do lawn work, mow, do all the planting of stuff...just anything that requires bending...I will tell you what girl, I really appreciate him more now than ever...you don't realize what you had until the help is gone and you have to do it and DO I FEEL LUCKY to not have to deal with this back stuff...at least not now...I have herniated , bulging discs...but so far I am able to deal with it fine. My husband has been off work 3 months and is going to the Dr this week on Thursday. My husband doesn't even know if he will be able to return to his work (maintenance). So a lot of stuff up in the air...taking it one day at a time.

Anyhow back to the feel good stuff........I got SO EXCITED last night when I seen your account being mentioned!! I told my husband...oh my gosh, one of my buddies on Craftserver has a wonderful account with these people! That  was awesome to see....and it sounds like an absolute dream account Trappeur! Those folks sound like angels to me....good, good people which we love to work for!! :)  I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!  :)  The apple pies sound delicious...yummm!!!

  5. Hey Trappeur...I just had to mention this...last night my husband and I was watching Home Hunters and they were looking for lakefront property in the Georgia area and the people who were hunting houses on this episode LOVES to go to Mercier Orchards in Georgia....we hope this brings lots of folks their way and more buyers for your beautiful candles. :) The orchard looks like a wonderful place...these folks went on a hayride there and picked blackberries. We wish they would have shown the store and more of what the orchards offered, but they didn't...but you got some free advertising for your account...yea! :)

All of these soap ingredients sound so soothing and just wonderful! Who wouldn't want to TOTALLY bathe in a soap made with such a recipe like this?  I will have to try this. 7. Beautiful recipe and soap Candybee! Thank you so much for sharing. A soap maker will NEVER go wrong making a Oatmeal , Milk and Honey soap....for me it is one of my best sellers. The Sandalwood Rose scent sounds wonderful and love the look of the oats sprinkled on top. :) Pretty, pretty!

  8. There is nothing that grosses me out more than bare naked soaps/bath & body products that people can handle all over. There is a body product store in our area that sell their soaps and bath bombs without even a smidge of wrapping on them.....imagine all the dirty and germy hands that have been all over those products. There are people who STILL do not wash their hands after using the bathroom and people that STILL wipe their noses on their hands....and they would think nothing of handling these products after doing such. I wouldn't use these bare naked products even if they were GIVEN to me. YUCK!! Beautiful and thorough packaging IS a must! :)
