  1. Well, I cleared my cart and started over and now I've got my shipping down to a more reasonable $57.92 for 11lbs...LOL Maybe I should just call the fruitcake and tell him to use my UPS account number so I'll only have to pay the real shipping price?..lol
  2. I just hit refresh on my cart button and now the shipping is all the way down to $83.25...lol I went to UPS site and punched in the zip codes with 15lbs and it really only costs $17.11 so why or where is he coming up with these rediculous shipping quotes? I don't want to redo my cart over again as his site is not user friendly. (I prefer a list where I can check all I want to buy and then add them all at once to cart) ..but, that' just me.
  3. lol...I don't know what kind of crack he's smoking, but I just put 11lbs in my cart and went to checkout where I had the choice of UPS next day @ $559.90 or Ground for $112.91 from FL to PA....lol (it would be $14/lb when all was said and done)...can I say NO THANKYOU? Hell, I could buy a round trip ticket to FL, buy my stuff and be home cheaper!
  4. well, after using Astorlite V wax for the last 7 yrs, I just got a new case that doesn't act anything like the old did. It had those bubbles at the bottom of the presto pot like mentioned above and the shrinkage was horrible! Even the second pour shrunk and left this huge bump around the wick. I experimented pouring real cool, nothing would work. I could not get one votive to look good. I even mixed some 366 into it. I hate that they change it and think we're too stupid to notice!
  5. A custom blend of Lilac and what? lol...vanilla? I don't use Peak's FO's but have to imagine that the Lilac isn't a heavy oil? Zinc wicks are the coolest burning of all wicks. Cottons are a tad hotter so you could try a 51c or 60 cotton. They are just a pain to keep standing upright due to not having a solid core for support. I use popsicle sticks with a rubber band on one end to clamp my cotton wicks with to keep them standing straight up. As for double wicking, just space the wicks evenly in the jar. Divide the jar into three equal parts and place your wicks accordingly. When you are test burning, how long do you burn? and are you doing subsequent burns after? Sometimes a candle will look like it's struggling on the first burn but will catch up on the 2nd and 3rd burns. Even if there is hang up on the jar, sometimes the other burns will take care of that?
  6. I use J50 with 9oz hex jars which I just measured and they are 3in across. I use 51zinc wicks with almost all scents except for the heavier oils when I bump up to either a 51cotton or 60zinc. Do you have any 62zincs you could try? If you do decide to double wick, start with the 44zincs and work down from there. What FO are you trying to wick?
