  1. i have poured thousands of them. I get them to come out with no dimples, with dimples. and then some with just ugly massive holes in it. I have figured it out that i get the best results when i let the wax cool quite a bit before pouring. Less shrinking. If you let it cool to much then you will get air bubbles on the tops. We tilt the pour pot to a 45 degree for a second and the bring it back upright. If the wax up the pot startes to harden then it is about right to pour. After a while you will be able to see the right temp on the pot side. We pour about 500 a month. Except in October, November, and December where we will pour between 1300 to 2500 a month. A helpful hint that we found. You get less dripping down the pot if you keep it to 2lbs or less in the pot. Going over that you will get some wax running down the sides of the pot all over everything. Good job on your first clamshell.

  2. I have read several places in this thread and in a few others that AAA is owned by Nevitts. We order from Nevitts, and they inpression we got form them is that there are not the owners of AAA. Could be wrong but i was thinking another company is the ones that owns AAA. I am thinking it is Airabella that owns AAA.

  3. We have order a few of there scents before and found they the just where not as good as other manufactors. I dont think we order anything in from them after about 8 or 9 scents didnt seem right to us. They had a chemical undertone and didnt throw very well. Maybe it was just the ones we picked out. This was 20 monthes or longer.

  4. Here is a couple that sells real good year round

    Fresh Bamboo-NG

    Honeysuckle-Manufactor

    Gardenia-Our own Blend

Vanilla Pardise (which is a musky vanilla)-Manufactor

    Coolwater-Manufactor.

Sorry i can not get more specific on most. We bring this in 25lbs to 55 lbs. Some are own blends that we have manufactured. But we like NG fresh bamboo and there Peach. Both sell good year round.

  5. We are going to pour a rose. Love Spell, Rock Star, Japenesse Cherry Blosom, and then several blends we do are selfs. We also do soaps and lotions in the same scents. So we can do gift packaging on all of them. We make a Gardenia blend that smell wonderful. We are going to be featuring that one with the others for Valentine.

  6. Here is another idea my wife does for baby shower gifts. She found a rubber mold in the shape of babies feet and then pour blue or pink feet with the Johnson baby powder. Then they can take them at the shower and spread them around the table. Got good responds for that. Sell them for 4.99 a dozen. And it takes about 1 oz of wax. Good profit margin and a good price for the customer. They get something unique and diffent.

  7. We got bit in the back side from one person who started out buy it wholesale from us. They didnt want to buy that much at a time, so she asked us if we would bring it in for her and then wholesale it to her. We said yes because we wholesale to several candle companies. Well she saw a delevery one day and now we compete against her at shows with our soaps using the same scents. But she dont get them from us anymore. It might seem rude not to give out info, but think about it this way, it is your money and time. I value both.

  8. We get a couple out of Lone Star like johnson baby powder(really spot on) and Leather(spot on but not over powering), but we also oder from ng and from several manufacters. We blend about 35% of our own scents. but Lone Star has good customer service and quick shipping.

  9. we are going to open up our spring lines and flowers more in the next couple of weeks. What i have found is people are going to start looking for them now because they got a lot of winter scents for christmas. There is a couple of christmas scents we have created ourselves that we are going to keep year round. Flowers and cleans scents are already starting to outsell the winter scents already in both of our locations.

  10. I just wanted to share our kiosk at the mall. This the first time doing the mall and hope it goes really really really well for us. :rolleyes2

Sorry the pictue is so big. We are doing wax melts, candles, soaps, lotions, lip balm, and laundry detergent.

  11. Hi icecold. I thought I would respond. I do make all my own products but when I was asking for some info on soap from others, I didn't feel like I had the time to do it. I also have a young child and wasnt sure how I would fit it in to my schedule for safety reasons. Since then I have figure out the safety issues I had and the cost was so much better for me to do it. I also like the appearence of CP soap and didnt feel like I could wait the 6 weeks it would take to build a inventory. Sorry if you feel like I was misleading, I just wasnt sure how to get stuff done with out posting inquiries first and getting ideas.
