I just tried again.. I go to your page --> http://www.mysoapenvy.com/ If I click on the facebook icon at the left or the bottom I end up here --> https://www.facebook.com/wix I don't think that is your facebook page.

Hi!
Your facebook isn't set up to go to your site.

So I started this thread a while ago and a lot has happened.
I did one farmers market last year and this year I am doing two. One I will do for 6 weeks and the other 3 weeks.
I have also been doing other local craft shows fairs etc. Things are going well and I am starting to get invited to shows.
I concentrated on building up product over the winter. My table(s) are simple and I think I need some jazzing up. anyone have suggestions for height?
Here are pictures of my table(s)

Hi.. I work in IT/Web services for my full time job and make/sell soaps on the side.
you should always give out your full web address that would start with "http://"
web crawlers (these are programs that populate search engines) take weeks to pick up new websites or even longer. They are large programs that basically index the internet. There is a lot out there to get through! Also if people purchase adversitment space on search engines they also are pushed up to be first or close to first in the search results.

Not sure where you are... but Job Lots had great prices on some also.

I have to say... Be Competitive and don't be insulted. This is your business and no one else is going to better suited to look out for it.

I renamed mine to ocean fruit. I didn't have an issue with butt naked but I had feed back that it didn't have a good description.

90% of all my sales are cash. People assume cash for craft fairs.

I just made soap and think I messed up. I made hemp soap with 75% hemp and now I think it way have been too much. Anyone make this type of soap?

I like your bags, but I always worry about putting CP in bags. Do you use them for everything?

Wait till you start dreaming of batches then you know you have a problem lol
I've had the batching dreams. I am SOOO addicted.
So a few things that I found over the last two years would be the following:
It helped me to plan out things short and long term.
Don't try and do too much too soon. I mapped out what i wanted to learn and set a high level time frame.
Go away with the hubby.
Don't skip over loved ones and friends, but do set aside soaping time just for you. This has turned into "my time" and I love it.
Put a time limit on how much searching you are going to do. Especially that digging around type of searching. you end up spinning off and wanting to try EVERYthing you find on a search
put aside so much money each pay check, week whatever for your hobbie (addiction) even a little. I made the mistake of charging stuff at first and then had months of bills to pay off. now I have my soap budget.
I hope this helps, even just a little.

Hi! I take mine outside to mix. I mix mine in a plastic container. I also surround it with ice in a bigger bowl to cut down on the wait time for cooling. I don't mix the lye hot as someone stated above. I really think it would gel too fast for me, but I am no expert.
I did CP first and loved it. Just give it a try.
