Anyone ever purchase from here? I see they have new essential oil blends and was thinking of trying some. Just not sure of the quality of their products as I have never used them. Anyone have any input?

:yay:Thank you this will definitely help with my bath products.
No problem. Sara from the WSP forum shared it and I was all too

Here is a cost calculator a lady from WSP shared ..It is awesome. You just put in the cost of your products ( butter, oils, additives, packaging) and it calculates the price per product and then tells you an average price to sell for retail as well as wholesale!

I actually find most butters I have ever worked with do melt on skin contact. Some just a little quicker than others.

as does shea and mango.

I find it funny that she has her name across her pic to keep people from stealing them....
oh, the irony

I found some at www.theherbarie.com

Anyone know where I can purchase some floral waters? I am looking for things like lavender, rose, chamomile, and rosemary waters...
-
This is the recipe I use ( found it on this forum) and it makes roughly 16oz and it not greasy!
4oz beeswax
4oz cocoa butter
2oz mango butter
4oz shea butter
4oz oil ( I use jojoba)

this is the creme base i ordered and it is really nice for cracked dry skin...love it.
I think there in oregon, I'm in mi.
I did try a closer supplier- NG, but did not like the sticky feel from the natural soy butter base...
Did you add any water to the soy base? I found that by itself it is rather sticky but adding a little water fixed it right up and it is heavenly!

What supplier do you buy your EO's from? I especially like buying already blended EO's like WSP has. Any other place to get great EO's?
-
I either use the 1oz push up clear tubes or make a 2oz bar by mold and then package it in a tin.
-
The Max use which is 5%

So, I added FO ( clinque happy type) to some jojoba oil and put in in a roll on tube. 4 days later and it smells JUST like fuel..ugh
Anyone have any guesses as to why? The FO seems to work fine in everything else
-
For those of you that use a base for shower gel/body wash, where do you get yours? The one I am currently using is very dry as well as contains parabens and I need something different. Oh, and it seems every single FO you use in it makes it turn to a water consistency.

:confused::confused:
I feel ya, Red. My "samplers" have gotten so used to free product, that now they just expect it. I just was rehearsing in my head my talk of how I have passed the "testing" phase, and now only need tests on new scents, not on their faves that they want. It's just hard to say it outright. I'm looking for a "soft touch" approach, because I am so outspoken and loud most of the time. Let me know if you find a way to subtly, yet firmly make my point!:confused:
Yup, same problem here. I mean they want me to send samples AND PAY FOR SHIPPING, ummm no. I don't make much off my products as it is and now they want them for free. I mean can I just go into walmart and demand free samples before I purchase products? No

Thanks ladies. Artfire does have a monthly fee though. Like $16 a month for the pro account. Not sure what I should do. I would just do a website but I know nothing about that kinda thing.
-
I am having this same problem but it is with family/friends. They all want tons of samples of everything I make so they will know what they want to buy:rolleyes2..I mean I already throw in a .5oz sample in every order. This sample crap is costing WAY too much
-
Which do you prefer. I am a VERY small business just starting out and broke lol...I am looking for the best choice for basically selling small orders and a place to learn for now. Do you guys have any input on either site?
Also, if you dos ell on these sites do you adjust the price of your products to makeup for the listing fees and paypal fees?

Do you know how much lecithin to add per 8 oz of this lotion? I actually like this lotion, exept it's hard to handle, since it's so runny.
I am not very familiar with e-wax (seen it in a bunch of recipes), is it natural?
Maybe it is more of a spray on lotion? can you try it that way?

Luminious,
I saw you are a massage therapist. What are the best oils to use in a massage oil? Thanks and you rock

What kind of labels do you use for the .15 oz lip balms? I am having a hard time getting a label to fit...

I can harldy ever double the wholesale price on items and sell them. The area here will just not allow that high of a price. I normally just take what it takes me to make it which for you would be $3.11 and times that by 3. So I would sell the 4oz bottle for $9.33 or I would round it off to $9.50!
