I am a wife and mother of a sweet baby girl. I just started looking into making candles. I needed to start a hobbie to keep me busy at home, since I'm home with my newborn all the time.

  1. 3x3x4 containers, glass containers, 750 wick from candlesupplies.com.
  2. I have the 402 flake soy wax from AZTEC. What additive and wick should I use so that it burns evenually. It's only burning down the middle. Also I"m using containers for this, nothing else. PLEASE HELP thanks
  3. Thanks for your reply: 1. what type of candles are you making? Making Soy candles in Glass Containers. 2. Never add fo to your candle directely. I always mix everything after my wax has completely melted. 3 you might consider remelting your candles down and redoing them. Will do! Thanks.
  4. I always mix my FO's and Dyes into my soywax after it's melted into the pot. Then I take it off the stove, cool it down to 130° and then I pour. (Is this wrong?)
  5. Thanks all! Yeah It would be expensive.. I was just curious.. I will stick the suppliers I'm dealing with.
  6. Okay, So some of my candles are messing up after they are completely cooled, the top of the candle is rough! How can I make it to where they wont end up that way? (If it matters, I did mix FO in the candle.) Please help! I'm confused.
  7. Hello All, I've been making homemade candles for alittle over a month now. What a great hobby! :smiley2: But I was curious if I could use those Bath and Body Works oils they sell in their store? Thanks!! Leigh
  8. Thank so you much for your help! I hope everything works well for me!!
  9. Hello All! I just looked up on making my own candles. I am in the process of looking for the right supplies, and I've gone to a few websites to get "kits" to start me off. I was wondering if anyone knew how to help me get started by giving me some tips on the best supplies to buy. I've done a lot of research, and I've got a lot of things printed out so I can read up on it before I just "start" ... Does anyone think www.lonestarcandlesupplies.com a good website or www.mcsoywax.com (I think is what its called), good websites? Or if you can lead me to the right one that will give me the top of the line supplies. Any pointers or advice is fine with me, I'm open minded!! Ready to start a new hobbie and get ready for Christmas gifts!!! Thanks an Advance, Leigh Cecil
