  1. The keepsake or apothecary jars that are about 3 ½” double wick nicely. Almost anything 3” or smaller you can single wick, like Henry says. It depends too on if you have a “theme” going, if you are going to sell. I started out with the keepsake jars, but ended up setting up my site as “prim”, so am attempting to change my keepsakes over to 8 oz. sq. masons to fit in with my webpage. Almost anything straight sided is easier to wick too than something that is curvey, like the balmoral for instance. You also want to look at cost, and shipping if can’t pick them up. You may want to go with something that is close to you.

cute site kerry! but what do you mean by prim?

i want to stay away from "country looking".. it just isnt y personality, plus i think its over done

i really like these frosted 11oz tumblers i got, but theyre out of stock and a tad pricey

  2. Agree about the metric system, but, in Jim's case it doesn't matter since the published specs where in error. Calling something .4 liter when its actually .35 would be the same thing.

yea, but is it an ounze by weight or volume? there was probably an error made by the supplier when they converted the size, so i dont think its false advertising as much as an honest error. i doubt the chinese use the english system.

the place you bought it from should have the integrity to clarify their description and pay shipping on your return, though. they should make it 'right'.

  3. ive only ordered from 3..

    peaks

    wholesalesuppliesplus (close to me)

    candlewic

i must say, peaks seems to be the best quality of the 3... although i have some good response from some of the wholesalesuppliesplus too

early american candle is close too, but i have yet to buy anything from them... i did visit the showroom once tho

  4. ive been using stamps.com for about 2 years. the advantage to stamps.com vs click n' ship is that you CANNOT use clickn'ship

    1. for first class mail or parcel, only priority or express

    2. i dont think you can insure your packages with clickn' ship without going to the post office

now ive been using them for my current biz, which isnt candles, so my packages are often less than 1lb and usually less than 5lbs and fit in my mailbox for my carrier to pick up. so I dont need to drop them off at the post office.

For packages over 5lbs Fexdex is usually the most economical choice.. and insurance is included. if I had a close Fedex place or if I met their minimum per week packages for pick up I would use Fexdex.
