  1. cute site kerry! but what do you mean by prim? i want to stay away from "country looking".. it just isnt y personality, plus i think its over done i really like these frosted 11oz tumblers i got, but theyre out of stock and a tad pricey
  2. What containers do you like? Trying to decide between Dodecagon, hexagon, victorian, or plain ol cheap jelly jars.... any expiriences or things to share that i may not have considered? i use ecosoya Pure soy, if that matters...
  3. damn!! I gotta hit costco and buy up some cheap so I can sell them on ebay when they retire the scent
  4. Ive been using the Pure Soy and I like it! No big problems... so how's it compare to the Advanced?
  5. yea, but is it an ounze by weight or volume? there was probably an error made by the supplier when they converted the size, so i dont think its false advertising as much as an honest error. i doubt the chinese use the english system. the place you bought it from should have the integrity to clarify their description and pay shipping on your return, though. they should make it 'right'.
  6. fluid ounze and weight ounze are different! this is why the metric system is superior!!
  7. ive only ordered from 3.. peaks wholesalesuppliesplus (close to me) candlewic i must say, peaks seems to be the best quality of the 3... although i have some good response from some of the wholesalesuppliesplus too early american candle is close too, but i have yet to buy anything from them... i did visit the showroom once tho
  8. Very helpful replies! It was those economy pillars that they didn't fit in that got me wondering. so I ended up ordering these wick pins I saw on ebay, but they were cheaper at the sellers site. They had a pic on ebay, but not on the site http://www.letitshineusa.com/products.asp?cat=35
  9. ive been using stamps.com for about 2 years. the advantage to stamps.com vs click n' ship is that you CANNOT use clickn'ship 1. for first class mail or parcel, only priority or express 2. i dont think you can insure your packages with clickn' ship without going to the post office now ive been using them for my current biz, which isnt candles, so my packages are often less than 1lb and usually less than 5lbs and fit in my mailbox for my carrier to pick up. so I dont need to drop them off at the post office. For packages over 5lbs Fexdex is usually the most economical choice.. and insurance is included. if I had a close Fedex place or if I met their minimum per week packages for pick up I would use Fexdex.
  10. I am finding that the buttons, chips, not so much the blocks, though... do not melt completely and blend with my wax. I read somewhere that liquid dye does not 'clog' the wick, therefore you can make more vibrantly colored candles, too. Is that correct? Any supplier recommendations?
  11. I am using RRD and HTP wicks and I find my RRD do mushroom more
  12. cool thanks! i thought that might be the way to do it with the temperature change, but i wasnt sure if i needed special wax...
  13. I saw some square pillars at Target and the surface had a smooth crackeled apperance sort of like a dry creek bed, KWIM?
