I see now, but I wouldn't have known to do that and might have given up thinking the site wasn't working. There is the "add to cart" button there, but with no way to make a scent selection without once again clicking on the clamshell line (which should be highlighted maybe to give you a hint to do that.) As a customer, I would be lost. Any way to correct that maybe? The "sort by" doesn't seem to serve a purpose. I would try and make it as easy as possible and try to follow what people are accustomed to when ordering. I don't want to criticize, don't get me wrong, but I truly think this is confusing.
I love the everlasting photo candle! What a great idea and not something I see very many places. I bet you're excited to get this up and going! Congratulations!
Thanks for pointing that out and I do see how that can be confusing. I will work on getting that fixed. Yes I am excited and now I have to get to advertising. Thanks again.

very nice and clean looking! When I went to the clamshells though, there was no way to select a fragrance - no drop down fragrance listing. There is a "sort by" box but it didn't lead anywhere?
Thank you! Sorry about that, if you click on clamshell wax melts under the picture it will give you the scent options.

They should be able to tell you the INCI if you contact them. It will be on their Certificate of Analysis for the batch of Shea (Which is usually required documentation by the main distributor to a reseller).
We need to know what the product is as formulators since each kind can behave differently in our products. You spend a lot of time and $ making products. If you switch suppliers and their shea is a different species your finished product may not be the same, possibly forcing you to reformulate.
It is a good idea to melt and filter any unrefined shea butters you use. I have found some.... Interesting... things in unrefined shea.
Thanks I will call them and keep that in mind I would hate to have a customer find something icky in my products.

I got this from Cleopatra's Choice and it doesn't even have the INCI . It just says 100% pure African Shea butter, Unrefined, organic. I just checked the site to see if it had it listed there but it does not have the INCI either.

OK so I'm trying out some raw yellow African Shea butter and I've searched the net to see if it can be yellow or should it be ivory. Throughout my search some say true raw Shea butter should only be ivory in color while some say it can be yellow depending on the actual tree it comes from. Some say the "yellow African Shea butter" is actually a butter from Africa that is similar to Shea butter but is not Shea butter and the tree that produces it grow in a cooler climate than the Shea butter which is grown in a warmer climate. I usually use refined Shea butter but would like to start using unrefined raw Shea but I would like to know what I actually have. The company I purchase the Raw African yellow Shea says it is actual Shea and no color is added to it. I would like to have you all take on this. Thanks in advance for any help.

I know this may sound crazy but when I was making these I used a little plastic stick type thing that I got from a cheap kite my son broke to make my holes for wicks. You know the kite has those little side sticks on both side to give the kite shape. It made the perfect size hole. Once I removed my pie shell from the mold I just went ahead and punched holes in it. Once I figured out where I wanted the wicks placed I just kept one shell as a guide and place it inside other shell and made my holes in the new shell to get the wick in the exact place. I know this sounds weird but this is what worked for me. lol. Your pies look great but one thing I would do is move the wicks in closer to the middle to prevent the sides from burning so quickly. HTH.

Anyone know if Candle Luster can be bought at local stores, like home depot, etc. not online I need some by Saturday. I tried Michaels but they didn't carry it. TIA

I'm just wonder how everyone labels lotions that are made with premade bases? Do you call them Homemade or Homecrafted or neither? And with any other product made with a base like lip balm or even Melt & Pour Soap. Is it safe to say it's homemade, or would that be considered a lie. TIA

Hey It has been a while, how are you. I have been thinking about doing tealights but I hate the metal cups. I did see a thread on here about one catching fire and burning a warmer. So I'm still undecided as of now, may just stick with votives. I think your melts are wonderful you should be selling. I wouldn't change a thing. lol

Jeanie are those the plastic tealight cups? If so have you ever had one to melt?

Hi I'm back. So I tried a CD 14 and a CD 8 and still getting fuel smell. The CD 8 did burn ok without drowning out but still had that smell. I'm going to try 1 oz. PP next to see it that will help. CT it smells good just not when burning. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I just stared trying to make pillar candles and I got some molds for pretty cheap but they have that seem in it. Is there a way to get that seem out other than buying new seemless molds? TIA
-
Those are just about to cute to even use. Love them.

I'm trying my hand in soy and I've tried 16 oz of 415 with 1 tbls coconut oil 1.5 oz peppermint FO with stabilo wick, and no color. I'm using a 16 oz jar about 3in. wide with Stabillo 10. It seems to burn fine but I get a fuel smell and no Peppermint throw at all. What could be causing this? TIA:smiley2:

I currently use the name and put type as this is what a suppier told me to do. But then I think I read somewhere on here or maybe another site that if it is copyrighted then you can still get in some trouble. I would guess because you are still using their name. I would love to stick with the original name I just dont want any trouble down the road.
