So after waiting since August to get my new chip reader I finally got it a couple weeks ago. Tried it for the first time this past Saturday and it didn't work. I was pretty mad.

I had updated to the latest version of Square on my Android, juiced the reader up so it was ready to go, synced it to my phone. It just didn't work.

So I called them this morning and just got back from the post office. I sent it back to them and am getting a refund. While I was out I bought the other new Square combo chip & magstripe reader at Staples for about $30.

Its all ready to use. I am very happy with it. Now I will see how it works this coming Saturday. Assuming I have a CC sale with a card with a chip.

I think their wireless chip reader just doesn't sync well with the internet and that is why they are having so many problems with it.

Everyone at my market is either using the plug in chip reader or has ordered it and sent the wireless one back for a refund.

So anyone who is having problems with yours you can call them and they will probably take it back and refund you your $50 back.

Do you think the Bluetooth Square card reader did not work for you because your phone was not listed as compatible, as you had posted in an earlier message?  Makes me wonder if mine will work.  I haven't tried to use mine yet as I was waiting until my spring farmers markets start.  Supposed to get the first $50.00 in processing fees free, but that has to be within so many months after you first use it.

I also have the Square combo chip & magnetic reader that you recently got, but I could not get that to work at my outdoor shows.

Anyone else try the Bluetooth Square reader yet?

  2. Who has e best Fruit Loops FO IYO?

I have one I got on the classies here and it's from BNC. Smells fruity but doesn't really smell like fruit loops. Thanks!!

Have you put it in wax yet? I use the FO from BCN in wax melts, and to me it smells exactly like Fruit Loops!

  3. Awhile back I ordered a 1 lb. bottle of fragrance oil from a different supplier. Turns out their inventory was off and they only had 8 oz. left...which they sent to me. But they charged me the regular 8 oz. price for it (which was much higher per ounce) instead of 1/2 of the 16 oz. price, like I thought they should.

  4. I don't get a UPS shipping discount because I don't get enough business yet. I charge $6 flat rate for shipping and am usually losing money. The closest USPS location is about 30 mins away and with my busy schedule and their limited hours, its much easier to ship UPS...just a lot more expensive -_-

Just wanted to comment that USPS will pick up priority packages at your home for free! Just print your shipping labels online (you get a discounted price), and request pickup!

  5. The best way I have found for filling the lip balm tubes is using a small glass measuring cup (the kind with a pour spout). I get the measuring cup really hot by filling it with water, and heating it up in the microwave. Then I pour the water out, wipe it dry, and melt the lip balm base. The glass retains the heat so I have no problem getting the tubes filled before the base cools off.

  6. I use BCN's (BNL)Cucumber Melon in cp soap and it soaps beautifully! No acceleration even with a water discount, and no discoloration.

I use a lot of their fragrances: (BNL)Apple Jack & Peel Type, Cedar & Saffron, (BNL) Eucalyptus Spearmint, Love Spell type, MacIntosh Apple, (BNL) Peppercorn, (BNL) Sandalwood Vanilla, Spiced Cranberry, Stonehenge type, Vanilla Bean Supreme, and (Wick Your Wax) Vanilla Grapefruit are some of my favorites! If you do order the cucumber melon, be sure you order the BNL one, as they have 4 different cucumber melons to choose from.

  7. I have shipped many packages from Oregon to New Jersey and they always arrive in 2 days, so I don't understand why a package shipped from Oregon to Seattle, WA (a 3 hour drive from me) usually takes 3 days!
