  1. So I have always had "issues" with my dang droppers..what to do with them?? I used to roll them up in a paper towel and rubber band that to the bottle but the fragrance oils would soak into the paper towel and make the bottle all blechy...and then it would ruin the label.

I started taping over the label with packaging tape and just dealt with the blechy bottle....until today!!

I purchased these test tubes they were $13 for 250

I put two rubber bands around each bottle, slid the test tube under the bands and viola! Ohhh man it's nice.

    Here is a pic

  2. Hey there Bill, yep...never received e-mail. I get so much spam, I don't even look in that folder anymore. But I did see the same lids for sale at wholesale supplies plus (their picture showed that they were hinged) so I KNEW yours had to be the same ones.

Yours are cheaper...LOTS cheaper so I just put an order in with you yesterday.

Now, how the heck can I stop yahoo from putting everything in the dang spam folder??

  3. I use internet based family

It was really easy to set up, you can try it for free for 10 days.

I take payment via PayPal AND credit cards.

After using it for over a year, there are some things that could be changed but they aren't deal breakers; a) I'd like to be able to mass edit my shopping cart and I can't B) I'd like to have a "catalog" page without having prices (currently my scent list is a catalog page) and can't.

Check them out, they aren't bad.

  4. I'm not concerned about people filing against me, it's just I think their "buyer protection" is a bunch of bull. I mean, I pay fees...lots and lots of fees to them every single transaction. When I go to buy something from someone else, and get ripped off, you would think there would be SOMETHING they could do but; "you win your dispute but there is nothing in the sellers account so sorry you are out the money".

    Like candlemomma said

Buyers protection should mean that the buyer is completely protected regardless of what the seller does
    but it's not the case.

It just made me mad and questioned giving them one more red cent.

I know now that when I purchase in the future, I'll never use a paypal balance (I'm going to keep my account down below $1), I'll use a credit card transfer. That way when something goes wrong, I can file a dispute with my credit card and have SOME protection.

  5. So if you saw my post in the fragrance section about Fragrance By Design, it got me thinking about PayPal. I accept it as a form of payment on my site, as well as regular credit cards. But I'm mad at PayPal!! I'm thinking about just accepting credit cards now and NOT PayPal. Closing my account and telling them to F off lol.

    Any downside?

  6. I ordered from Fragrance by Design in this last "going out of business" sale. I spent $47.85 on oils. She was out one oil and e-mailed me asking what I wanted to do...I responded that same day telling her to replace said oil with a different one.

When I didn't receive the oils almost a month later, I went to their website to e-mail them. Website was gone. I filed a dispute with PayPal.

I heard back from Denise and she stated she was waiting on ME to answer the question about the missing oil. She also said that the reason the site was down was that she was having problems with her ex and that she would get my oils out within a few days.

I waited a week and when nothing showed up on my doorstep, I escalated my dispute to a claim.

PayPal just ruled in my favor but surprise, surprise...she cleaned out her account. Freaking what good is PayPal???? I thought they offered "buyer protection" Ohhhh I'm mad now grrrrrrr

    Just beware!

  7. I'm thinking that Andy is confused. There is no fee to be in the box, just whatever it costs to make the samples.

I also don't think that she needs to disclose that she owns a business and contributes to the box. Why would it??? I mean, there are LOTS of different companies in the box, as well as hers, and as long as yours is going in there to, to be sampled by others..why would it matter?

  8. I did Out of the box, Little black box, and Lemming central boxes. I put coupons in all of my samples and I think out of all three boxes (I sent in 40 samples to each) only 1 coupon ever came back BUT......

The big BUT was that a few of the people who received samples from Out of the box blogged about me. 1 blog led to a few customers. Another person who received my samples from them put me on their website as the "business of the month" which led to a few customers. AND someone mentioned my name on the Lush forum and THAT was WAY cool, lots of girls from there!!!

So if I ever do sample boxes again I would do Out of the box. Really good way to get your name out there for "free" and they were also the only one of the box companies that kept me in the loop. They notified me when my samples arrived etc. With the other ones I was just left wondering; wondering if they received my samples, wondering if they liked my samples, wondering if the samples actually got in the box etc. Out of the box was very, very professional about it. They just made me feel special.

Edited to add: don't expect too much feedback from the forums. I didn't get much feedback on any of the forums from the customers. But as long as I was getting SOMETHING from the boxes, I was happy :)

  9. EVERYONE want's a straight coconut lol.

I hear wholesale supplies plus "caribbean coconut" is good. I use it for B&B and it does smell really good and yummy. Being as I've never smelled a real coconut, I can't say how closely this one comes.

I also hear that aroma havens coconut is supposed to be the best as far as straight coconut goes.

    :2cents:

  10. I received a sample of Be Delicious by DKNY from Just Scent and I have an 8oz bottle of the same from The Candle Source and I compared them OOB side by side.

For the $8 difference on price per pound, I'd go with The Candle Source. I actually like the smell just a bit more too.

I did NOT compare it to the real perfume though.

  11. Ok so I ordered a pound of Daisy from Just Scent.

I took my Natures Garden sample, the JS oil, and the real perfume and I put/sprayed the oil/perfume on kleenex and stuck them in a jar.

Sniffing: the NG and JS are pretty dang close to each other. If I had to pick just one or the other, I'd go with NG but they are so close with each other, it almost doesn't matter. BOTH of them are missing that fruit I was talking about...that needs to be upped just a touch. Sooooo I took my JS sample, dropped in a few drops of NG strawberry passion and a drop of Daystar buttercream frosting and smelled it side by side with the real stuff. IT'S ALMOST EXACT!!
