  1. Met a lady over the weekend who was not a scentsy fan. She said they didn't last long enough. I asked her how many she used and how long did she think they should last.. she said 2 cubes and she felt they should last at the very least a few months.:shocked2::shocked2: First time I've been happy when someone didn't buy my tarts:laugh2:

Yea and I think the gas in my car should last a few months too!! :P People like that would never be happy.

  2. I placed my first order with them and it was 2 weeks out plus I told them my first show was going to be the 30th and they still didn't ship it in time. I'll get the box on the 1st with a case of jack o lantern warmers! Guess I'll save them for next year. In the future I'll make sure to order a month out.

When I figured I would not have my warmers in time from CW I ordered some from OBI and had it 4 days later!

  4. I did call and they just said they never have a problem. It may just be me, but when I use KY wax and pour a scent it smells just smooth & silky and with this wax it has a chemical smell to it. I'll try it with a couple of other FO's and see if it might be the FO. Another thing I notice is that it really sticks to the portion cups and it is very difficult to get out, which I figure is because this is a container wax.

I might just try making my own blend, we'll see.

If it works for you all that is great, I'm just not that impressed.

  5. definitely Presto, but watch out....the Presto pots at Wal-Mart are smaller than the older ones. Found that out the hard way after buying 3 news ones.

You are right but I don't find the larger ones anywhere now. I think they are not being made anymore.

  6. I melted some of TCS wax yesterday and poured 4 of the sample FO's I bought from them: Heavenly, Candy Cane, Candy Corn, & Twilight plus a KY scent that I love Creme Brulee and I am VERY disappointed!! ALL and I mean ALL of these have a horrible fuel smell! It must be the wax first then the FO's.

OOB most all of the scents I bought from TCS have a funky smell, so that was why I tried a scent I knew smelled great in the KY wax and it just smells terrible in this wax. I was really excited to try this wax too! I should have just bought 1 slab cause now I have 2 1/2 slabs left that I don't want, plus 45 one oz FO's, Dang!

  7. did you check sks? they have some great prices on things, not sure about aluminum bottles specifically... but they generally impress me with their prices

I did but you had to order a case to get the best price and at Elements you get the better price even without ordering at case level. Thanks though!

  8. Hi Sharon,

Thanks for all the detailed info! Would you mind to post a picture of the dimples so I could see how bad they are? I hate dimples. lol ;-) I wonder if you mixed a bit of soy in if the dimples would disappear?

I'm stuck without the use of one hand, had surgery friday on it , so I'm so jealous of you all pouring tarts!!

  9. I'm having the same problem and will be ordering even more wax on Monday after talking to supplier for recommendations. Please post what works for you. So far, the Gold 464 mixed with regular paraffin 90/10 worked okay but am not super happy with scent throw (this may be due to the FO though) so I ordered two more last week and made a disaster batch last night :(

Try a 70/30 blend of Soy & Paraffin you might be happier.

  10. Is that one of their cubes that scents the room? Cause none of mine would, could it be candle nose?

It was one of theirs but put that same warmer on tonight with the same left over wax and zero scent today. I got about 8 hours out of that small cube.

I would love to sell their warmers and so would my wholesale accounts in their stores. They should come out with another line of equally fine warmers for the rest of us.

Me too , they would make a crap load of money if they did!

  11. I just went to a Scentsy open house and smelled most of the scents and honestly I was not impressed, they smelled ok but not what I was expecting. I thought I'd open a box or sample jar and get a headache from the strong scent when most smelled just ok. In fact some of my tarts are stronger.

I did buy one of their plug ins for the bathroom and a couple of their $5 bars to test. The plug in is great and fits the socket perfect unlike the one I have from OBI. The scent from one little cube scents my smallish bathroom well.

I'll try a couple of cubes in my OBI large warmer and see what I think, but truthfully I don't find them impressive in fact when I opened quite a few of the boxes have major dimples and the older ones she was selling at a price break had major color fading.

I think it is just that they have a great marketing practice and people are buying into it. Like I said before the thing they have on us small guys are very beautiful warmers. I'd love to be able to join and just resell the warmers with my tarts but that would be unethical.
