Thank you all for the positive feedback. A co worker said it was a name for an "Adult" type store. I like it.
It was $75.00 at Studio Beck. She is very nice and patient and can somehow read your mind! I will use her again soon for my labels! Thanks again!

I tried the coconut milk from Peaks, but it didn't throw Any suggestions? Glass Glow container. Thanks.

Where are you located? In Chattanooga, TN, we have a "Chattanooga Market" every week end. It houses local hand craft vendors.

YUMMY!!!

I am using the glass glow and soy. They are both flakes. The boxes are getting on what's left of my last nerve. Is there a good container to use? What do you use? And ALL my other stuff...any of you organized?? I read the organized laughter thread. lol. Isn't a messy work place the sign of a genuine Enstein?

I wish I was that creative!! Looks Yummy!!

How far in advance do you start making seasonal candles? I'm wanting to start my July 4th idea of layering red, white and blue glass glow containers. I didn't know if April was to soon. lol

I do not know whether the two waxes are the same or not, but I don't understand about the wicking. Did you purchase a kit with wicks? If so, you can ask what wicks were in the kit and purchase them separately. Did you pour into the exact same size container? If not, your wicking may be off as different size/shape containers need different wick sizes. Did you use the same FO on the second batch as you did on the first? If not, the problem may lie with the FO you used. Did you melt & pour at the same temperature both times? If you poured cooler the second time, the FO may not have incorporated into the wax well. One has to stir FO a lot to ensure it is well-distributed in the wax.
If you give us a little more information - container size, wick size, FO, melt/pour temps, etc., we might can be of more assistance.
I found out, by both suppliers, that the was is the same. I have also noticed that the wax from Candle Science smells, well, like wax and the other didn't smell at all. I'm using the same FO's from PEAKS, differant containers. 1 oz FO per pound. double wick 12 CSN's in a 12 oz Libbey Interlude jar. I am determined to make this was work, if it takes my last breath!!

I got my sample from PEAKS and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the results. So I decided to order a case, but got it from Candle Science due to the shipping/cost. The cold nor the hot throw is the same. Also, the wicks that I used in the sample wax successfully, isn't the same with this batch. Formula is the same. Is the was differant?? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

I am using 8 oz. aproc jars. Glass Glow wax. Peaks FO's. I've tried RRD 50's, double wick and the equiv. to CD 10's (I haven't received my cd wicks yet) All tunnell. PLEASE HELP ME!!

How do you package your candles? Label only? Label and tag? cello bags and ribbon? Do any of you do baskets? I got my candle formula down, now the tagging/labeling is going to drive me even more nutty!!
-
Okay, you are just to darned creative!! I too am scratching my head for label ideas since I'm starting all over with a new wax. I am also toying with tagging. Hmmm
Here's what ours look like.Booklet fold, hole punched in the corner, and secured with satin ribbon.

I have all suggested and will be a mixing machine this week end. However, now I'm hungry for peppermint patties. lol

I don't need to slow cool any of my candles but a friend of mine uses J-223 and uses an old fridge (not plugged in) with added shelving. He puts the trays of candles in it and shuts the door. They are well insulated Works like a charm for him and you can get one free!
THAT is an awsome idea!!! Thank you! :yay:

I pour into heated jars and let cool on top of a cookie rack and covered by a box. I keep day dreaming of some kind of contraption that would make this process more simple. Like a wooden box with a cookie rack bottom and chicken wire spacers/squares. How do you do it?
-
Boy is it strong, but boy do I love it. Any mixing ideas??

I use a postal scale also, it's digital. Another question...After I weigh (on the scale) my wax, it seems to be less after I melt it. (Glass Glow) Do any of you weigh after melting and adding the goodies??
Labeling...How many do you use on your containers?

I have been using one round label on the jar lid so I wouldn't cover the effects of the wax (Glass Glow). But with my new logo, I am changing my jars and labeling thoughs also. Do any of you use 1 label for your business information and 1 for scent?? What are you thoughts?
