  1. LOL!! Too funny!! Please do not take this personally, but I am facinated with mobsters. :tiptoe: Your quote reminded me of them.

Hey all you Alabamians! I live near Birmingham. Glad to hear there are other folks in the neighborhood. Just don't try to sell any candles or soap on my turf.....I'm Italian. JK (about selling not about being Italian).
  2. I had no clue! Thank you for this info. I'm in there much, but ventured in recently. They (Dollar Tree) has some great square and oval baskets. They carry Libbey brand jars too :) Oh, almost forgot...I get my metro's from Paula at The jar store.

One more thing--did you know you can order from Dollar Tree online and have it delivered to your nearest store? I think the website is dollartreedirect.com.
  3. Some more keywords...Stars, Crescent Moon (sp), Spells, Sunshine, Candy, Confections, Dragons, fantasy.

Now, for my friends suggestions..Here we go. :P

Kaye's Kreations (my middle name is Kaye)

    Pink's Wink's

    The Pink Princess

    Sweet Scentsation's

    The Pixie Pantry

Kandle Konfection's (I like the use of the "K")

    Sweet Treat's

The Crazy Daisy (which I have played with before...and I'm a bit nutty)

I love all of your idea's also. I want this one to stick and I'm going to federally trademark it ($1200.00) And if you are interested, a candle to the winning suggestion :yay: ((This is kinda fun...it's happy hour. lol))

  4. Okay. So, when I started, I chose Wicked Wicks. Found out it was Trademarked. Then researched and chose "Twinklez Treasurez". Trademarked it in TN, but was at a store downtown and found a candle/B&B line with that EXACT name and similar logo. From NY. I'm at my wits end and have thrown away all my scribble of thought of names. Please help me. I've searched the threads, but nothing caught my eye. I'm begging you!! Here's my likes...

    Butterflys...Stars...Fantasy...Fairy's...LadyBug's...Sprite's (fairy's without wings)

I make natural candles (palm and soy), tarts/melts & gift baskets. I'll be out of commision for a while, so this is the time to fill out and register a name and get a new logo. Okay...GO!

  5. I'll need a roomie for 2010!! I'll be there with bells on!! Nancy, I missed dinner too?? :( Lance didn't say anything about me missing dinner. Gotta love the husband and kids. No, really, do you? :laugh2: I had a blast!! And am now afraid I'm going to be a convention junkie. I'm already planning and sceeming for the Alabama conf. in June. :tiptoe: :tiptoe: Birdie, I may need a roomie. BTW...how can I get to the CA conf. on a TN budget??

  6. I hate it that I had to leave a little early!! We had to rush home to our kids. Thank you all again for everything!! I agree, nancy's candles where captivating!! When my husband saw them though..he just shook his head. his question, "If you make candles, why are you buying them!":laugh2: And then of course there is the FO's. I unpacked them in the middle of the night, thinking I could sneak them into my "stash" and he caught me. :shocked2: I'm grounded. lol

  7. I think if you pulled her away from her...companion, you could have gotten it from her :P

I got to get my hands on a Logan Bear Mold !!! O boy I was trying my hardest to get this mold ! lol

I have a mold like this that I have had a few years now that is seasoned and I know it would have not released this soft soap . yes we did have to play and beg it to let go a little but it did great !!!!

So I am almost positive that if it was a harder recipe we wouldn't have had a problem .

    I Don't Rave about something if I don't care about it ;)

So now since I lost that beautiful baby to Barbera I will have to order .

I tried trading bribing and she wasn't giving it up ! lol

  8. It was such a pleasure to meet everyone!! We finally got home a long 3 1/2 hours later (1 1/2 hours more than the usual time). There was storms and traffics and then they close the freeway. So, now I'm locked in my bedroom looking at all my goodies and wishing I took a camera!! Did anyone take pictures that could send me a copy?? So, now, I'm venturing into the world of soap. :shocked2: Everyone take cover!!:laugh2:

Nancy and Jennifer it was so nice to meet ya'll !!! I can't wait to give my daughter your candle Nancy !!! I know she will love it .

    Hope everyone got home safely:cheesy2:

  9. I agree. As for vendors, they have the best packaging! And FO's :)

Got my box in yesterday and didn't have time to do any more than unpack it last night, but I couldn't believe the way it was packed.

I got 5 sample packs, so there were 51 1-oz bottles (including my free one), each individually wrapped in foam padding that was taped on. I can't believe the time they must spend on packaging--that was just incredible!

It will take me a while to just unwrap everything and I have a couple of orders to work on this week after work, so my nights will be busy and it will probably be the weekend before I get to sniff and sample. I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the packaging.

  10. I tried this too...I think I did it right. I'm literally in tears! (Thank you for your help)

    A few thoughts...

Does your printer have a specific setting for labels and are you using it?

The labels you purchased from your supplier might not fall within the margins they claim they do, so you could print them all day long and they would never print right. Take a ruler to a sheet and see if the margins are even.

Have you tried printing a full sheet on blank paper first and then place that sheet in front of a blank sheet of labels and hold it up to the light? That should indicate where the problem lies.

  11. Okay ladies...I've tried all suggestions from Avery, Labels by the sheet, Online Labels and Microsoft Publisher 2007. THEY STILL DON"T PRINT IN THE @#$! CIRCLE!!! In 20 minutes, I have wasted $10.00 worth of labels. That may not be much for some, or most, but it is for me!! I'm starting to think that either an investment in a "Label Printer" or having them printed for me is worth it. I order my labels from, Labels by the sheet. I use a Color DELL Laser 1320c printer. I've tried all of the suggestions above...Anyone have any suggestions, helpful hints. Anything?? :cry2:

  12. Beckie re designed and re sized my label. I'm even using the software she suggested. The labels are still not printing correctly. 2 1/2 circle. Is there a certain way to feed them into the printer? I just put them in the tray. I have a DELL laser printer. I'm at my whitts end!! Please help!! :(
