I use the 44-20-18z wicks in this wax. Melt pool is great scent throw excellent.

I have never made chunk candles. I want to make them in containers. I have these waxes. J223; J50; IGI 4630, 6006; glass glo palm; palm feather; palm starburst. Will any of these work? If not what would be the best wax to get? I would really like do get some made up for Christmas pretty quickly while I have time to test! Thanks so much.

Thanks so very much Steve. I was shocked to see how hard it got. I wiped and tried to scrape, but the oven idea is great, keep mine at 170 as well.

I just poured my first testers today! They are so pretty. I need advice on the clean up. My goodnes my pour pot is all smeared up. I poured it from my presto pot to mix in my color and scent and by the time I poured my candles and went back for clean up it had hardened and I mean hardened. tried reheating it and it would not come off the sides. I am up for suggestions:confused:

No these have the indentions and I added tea lights....I would never sell without testing. On my jj lol have testers everywhere I have been making them for 2 yrs. But thanks for the heads up. When I do decide to wick them..:smiley2:

I just poured my first pillars in 3 different sizes 3 1/2, 4 1/2, & 6 1/2 they turned out beautiful! I did them in fall colors and scents. I am soooo hooked...lol. I am doing a craft show soon and was wondering what to charge for these. All I have ever made is 8oz jj candles. Thanks in advance.

What wax do you use for these? What type candle are they called? I love them and would like to try making some!

Wow what wonderful info thanks so much I just posted on how to wick using this wax. I have a 4 in mold as well what do you recommend? I am going to mix the Feather and starburst.

Just purchased my first pillar molds and some star burst palm wax and feather palm wax. I have never made pillars. I was wondering if someone could help me with a starting place for wicking them. One mold is 3" in diameter one is 3 1/2 and one is 4". I think these candles are so pretty made with this wax and want to venture a little lol. Thank you for any help you could give me.

I remember reading someones message that used these waxes and mixed them. I cannot find the thread. Anyway I purchased 10 lbs of each today from a lady who is selling her candle business. I also purchased pillar molds and would truly appreciate any help you could give me. The pillar candles are so unique looking with these waxes and just want to play! Can they be used individually also? TY in advance

Just got my first slab of J223 wax today. I have read such great reviews about it. I will be using for my test 8 oz. jj. Can anyone advise me on a wick size?

I use J223 Paraffin wax for my container candles. I want to find a good marshmellow Fo with a great hot throw. Any advice?

Could anyone tell me if there is a wax additive that will help make my paraffin wax clear? I do not want to use gel, and I have some great wax embeds I want to use.
