Hello Everyone! I am **brand** new here, first post, and have only made 4 candles to date (two pillars - not soy, and two 16 oz containers - both soy). For the purpose of this thread, I will give the results I had with my two Soy container candles.
Type of Soy or Soy Blend you use?
GW-444 (98% Soy / 2% Soy-Based Additive)
Additives if any?
None other than my FOs and color.
Preferred dyes?
So far, have only used Peak's dyes; one was a chip the other was liquid.
Preferred wick (Not sizes)?
For the soy, I have only used RRD. (Have not burned them yet, just made yesterday!)
Pouring temp you recommend?
I poured both of these at 135* F.
What you do to prevent frosting?
I did not have any frosting on either candle.
What you do to prevent rough tops?
I did have tops that looked "lumpy" on one, and the other cracked a little and was also "lumpy". I used a heat gun on both, and seemed to smooth out okay.
Do you do anything to prevent wet spots?
So far I have not seen any wet spots on these two candles. I did not heat my containers, just wicked and poured.
