  1. I have caught this bug also. I love the crystal ones. I am thinking of taking them to my neck craft show. I do candles and soaps.. but every table you look at anymore does candles. So.. was just thinking.. IDK! Lol

I went to a craft show and the girl at the table in front of me had a beautiful bracelet on - I asked her where she got it and she replied I made it and its one of a kind. I said ok thanks.. so I thought if she could make them.. why couldnt I? Lol.. I know .. I know.. so I bought a bunch of stuff. I made co workers a few and everyone loved them - a few people even bought more. SO I thought.. Id give it a try.

I am making for Christmas.. a mothers bracelet for each co worker. They have the kids birthstone crystal beads and then smaller beads. I got one from a different site and tried to copy it - and they turned out great - after a try or two. Id share a pic but Im not sure how lol.

Its kinda a trial and error type thing also - I tried to read the books and I was lost. So I thought I have all the tools.. not gonna waste them - so I just started messing. Each one is different and so far Ive got good reviews. So dont give up

  2. What is dendritic salt? and can you buy it locally? can you use anything else in its place? I have some of the other stuff that I got a Lowes and never got around to trying it and by the sounds of it.. its something I should give it a try!

  3. I have made those too. I made soap in small molds - think I used the candy mold and placed a silly band in it. I have not sold any yet. I have shows coming up soon. I do the duckie ones and the ones with the monkeys and stuff on top. The ones with the erasers in them always sell good too.

  4. I have one and I got mine at a local GoodWill or place like that. It was like $3. I am gonna use it for wax now I used it for hot choc and tea before.

I also use a coffee cup warmer for the lip balms. Just place a glass bowl on the warmer and it will keep it melted and warm. I learned it on a site. Cool idea

  5. Here is the recipe that I used. It was in a posting some place.. just not sure where right now... but anyway.. here it is:

    2 oz. Cocoa Butter

    6 T. Baking Soda

    1 1/4 T. Cornstarch

    1/4 c. Citric Acid

    1/4 T. FO

I never used the coca powder it called for. I just make them plain. Hope that helps!

  6. I found the perfect wax for tarts.. now I want to do container candles. I want to do jelly jars, and I have some squat hex jars. Can anyone give me their advice on which one would be a better choice?

    Golden 444

    CB 135

    Golden Brand 415

    Golden Brand 464.

I can find those at a place close to my home and the shipping is not that bad. Or any advice would help. I want a soy wax and I need a wick suggestion to buy those also. I only have some eco wicks and some 60-44-18C wicks. I just dont know what to buy. Thanks for the help.

  7. I also have some 444 that I can mix with it. I use the stubby type hex jars. I got this PB to make tats with but I was going to try and use it for some container candles too. Is there anything I can mix with this to help it adhere to the jars?

I have some shows to do and wanted to try and use this wax for jars too. They are the clear ones. I have it to make tarts but was trying to use it for more. I bought this wax and really like it for tarts and stuff. Great scent throw.

  8. Does anyone have a template for the large crayon molds. I just got the mold and am gonna use melt nd pour but Im looking for the labels to put on them. I have seen them - just not sure of the size or how to go about making them. Thanks so much.

  9. You could put them into a basket or something and put a sale or mark down item tag on them - people go nuts over them. I do that at shows. I put them unwrapped into small baskets and let people pick them out and then bag them. Easy way to get rid of them and still make a little money on them.

  10. Well I decided to give it a try Jane. It worked okay. I had a few silicone molds that were individual ones - so I figured what the heck.. and it worked. I left it cool pretty well before trying to remove it. The mold didnt reuin and its fine. I then used the mold for a wax tart - and the scent didnt stay in the mold.

I had a hard time with the cookie cutters - I had to throw alot of them away cause they stuck to the cutter and other issues. This might be a good thing to stick with. I just need to find larger molds to use now. But figured Id give it a try!!

Now you know its safe to try it out.

  11. I have always used the metal cookie cutters to make mine. Has anyone ever tried to make them in silicone molds? if so how long did you cook them for and how did they turn out?

I have a few muffin type molds that are heart, butterfly, and circles and wanted to use them - but didnt want to destroy them trying this out first. Thanks

  12. I have one - and sad to say still.. never took it out of the box - thinks its been almost 3 years now - yes my hubby could kill me!! lol.

I have a Brother Disney version. I got it over the net but Wal Mart had them on clearance not that long ago. I just HAD TO HAVE THIS MACHINE - and yes still never used it lol. I plan on it after the holidays and all the shows are over and I have time to breath! I opened it and saw all the books and pieces and thought OMG! and that was it!

  13. Thanks so much! let me know neworleanslady and if I dont find any by them.. I would buy some from you. I have a micheals not too far from me. I might get there sometime soon - its about 1 hr away. I live out in the country and not much around me lol. Thanks again!! I appreciate the offer!!

  14. I make soy candles etc. but I have a friend that wants me to make her 4 wine glasses with the gel in them - partylite sells something like she is looking for - but they are pricey. Where can I buy that small amount of gel? They have a light holder in them so I wont need to worry about wicking them. Thanks for the help. Does a local craft supply place sell this gel? michaels? Etc.
