  1. I am looking for a good leather fragrance. I have tried LS, it was okay, but wasn't as strong as I am looking for. Bought some from wholesalefragrances4less and it was not strong at all, and does not seem to be an oil base, but rather a water base.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help.

  2. I am going to order from Candle Cocoon and would like your opinions of which ones are the best.

I am looking at the following ones

    Banana Nut Bread

    Spiced Apple Pie

    Vanilla VooDoo

I am looking for a really good Apple Pie scent for my mother. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this forum, so if I post wrong please let me know. Thank you very much CJ

  3. I don't know if anyone has ever used EL container blend, but about 2 weeks ago, he said it was less than $70 a bag I think. He did not say that they would be increasing it anytime soon. I use their 100% soy, but I have to add a hardener to it. I bought it for 47.50/bag from waxhouse. There container blend is suppose to be much better, the type I have tends to frost on certain colors.

  4. These are the ones I like

    Red Currant - Very strong

    Raspberry - Very strong

I mix these two together and it is awsome! I use 1 oz Red Currant and 1/2 oz Raspberry in soy and throws good hot and cold.

    Pear Berry - super strong

Apples slices - doesn't seem that strong on my cold throw, but hot throw is very good - this is one of my favorites.

Lilac is horrible. It smells like chemicals to me. It's okay in a candle, but I made body butter with it and threw it all away.

I have several fo's from LS but haven't used all of them yet.

KY has an excellent Cherry Slush - it is super super strong! Their Fresh Lilac is pretty good. Fresh cut roses is good and Peachy Pie Filling. Birthday Cake is super strong!

BC has strong fo's. I like Storm Watch, Pear Spice, Sage and Lemongrass, Cranberry Citrus and Wild Berry Musk. I do not like Hollyberry and Ivy, it is strong, but it makes my skin crawl! I am going to try it in a candle and see if it is better than it is in the bottle. I have their Red currant too, and I like LS Red currant much better.

BC's Pink sugar is really nice! Ordered that for a friend of mine, and I wish I had ordered myself some of it.

  5. My husband has a small air gun for pin-striping and touch ups. I don't know which ones would be cheaper you may want to look at the vehicle ones and the air brushes that the salons use for nails might be cheaper. They also have air brush guns for temporary tattoos that might work real well. I have seen sites that use stencils to paint on the soap and they look really pretty. I think it would be a great idea.

  6. Has anyone ever used fo's from scentations4u? I ordered several fo's from them and they smoke badly. I was pouring them at 170 degrees, until I started adding my fo just before I pour. I haven't tried these fo's that way, so I will try them at cooler temp's. They are very strong and nice scents in the bottle. The one that I made for my mother, she said she could not even smell it while it was burning.

I had just decided to use them in my air fresheners.

  7. I use 100% soy wax with a universal additive. I heat the additive first at 200 degrees, then lower my temp to around 175 add my wax and wait for it to cool to around 95-100 degrees to add fo and pour. I add my dye at any time. My soy wax has a smoother surface when poured at a lower temp. I poured Cherry slush yesterday and it was super strong.

I was adding my fo at about 170 degrees and it seems that adding the fo at a lower temp it kept a stronger scent. I think the higher temps burn out the fo's.

I agree with others, you have to test your wax with fo's and see what works best.
