Well, this is what I do...

4.88 x 2 = 9.76 that is wholesale.

4.88 x 3 = 14.64 that is LOW retail

4.88 x 4 = 19.52 that is HIGH retail.

I stay towards high retail, but more than low retail. I would not sell that candle for less than 15.00 each or 18.00 each or 2/35.00.

Alot depends on what your market will handle. Some people can only get 5.50 for a jj and others can get 8.00 or more for the same jj.

thanks. i was going to sell my candles for $15, but i thought it would be too much, esp. since im just starting out. I thought i should sell them for $10 for now, and if all goes well, i can raise the price.

Thanks. yea, I would love to have my own store someday. My mom has her own business and ive helped her run it ever since i was 8, so im very familiar with the business thing.

Yea, i figure i will need to keep my day job for a while for now. But hopefully I wont someday.

I sell my 12 oz pariffin candles for $10 each. It cost me 4.88 to makes each candle. Am i charging enough? too much? Is it a good price? Thanks. Im just starting out.

I love makeing candles. Ive been doing it on the side and selling it for extra side money. I would love to start up a candle and soap business someday, but jw if its really possible to make a living off of? Can I quit my job and just do this? Im 21 and want to have my own business hopefully by the next couple years.
