  1. Gulf Tides™
Reminiscent of salty air skimming over ocean swells to kiss the sandy dunes.HTH

Don't know if it's close but I've used and love this one for years (Keystone Candle)

Unmistakable fragrance of a seaside resort. This fragrance lets you know you've arrived at the beach. Close your eyes, and take a deep breath and smell the salty aroma of the ocean. A top seller!

  2. Well, I hope you will eventually be in touch with them and maybe get your last remnants back. It may be ok and they open back up, but that would be the final straw for me and I would definitely get someone else to dupe your scent.  I know Flaming does, Fragrance Buddy does and I even think Tennessee Candle does.  And I would recommend these suppiers without hesitation.   So sorry that has happened to you.

They could at least give some type of feedback that is for sure.

I already gave up an ounce to Save On, 4 months and $75 I think and nowhere close.  I don't know why I thought Fragrance Buddy only duped oils like BBW, etc.

    According to their Facebook page...

    "

    Mike's Fragrances N More

    We are currently

    Closed Temporary

keep checking on our facebook for updates"

May be a personal reason but they say it is temporary. Still a red flag if you ask me. To close temporarily and not fulfill orders already paid for. Definitely bad business sense.

Thank you for the heads up, I hadn't checked Facebook.  I realized I'm not out money, but you know what's is like to cling to the remnants of your favorite oil......very sad to lose

  4. Does anyone have any idea were Mike's Fragrance went? I have been leaving messages and the website is down.  Just wondered if I missed

something, they were working on a dupe for me - which would be sad it was most of what I had left of it.  TIA

  5. Hello All,

I found this forum and thread via a search on Google about The Scent Works. I've been in business for 4 years and used their scents. Since they closed I have had to reformulate all my candles with new scents that pale in comparison to The Scent Works fragrances. The owner of The Scent Works is still very active on her personal Facebook account so it's obvious the company didn't close due to illness or death. Just unfortunate she will not reply to anyone regarding her supplier of oils.

Japanese Silverberry was my absolute favorite from them and I've been searching and spending 100's of dollars trying to find a scent similar to it to no avail. I also don't have any left for me to send away to get formulated. ::major sad face::

However, I have several other scents of theirs in 1 oz bottles that are available to get formulated if anyone wants them. They are of no use to me as I won't use the oils unless I'm able to sell them in candles.

The scents I have are as follows:

    Full 1 ounce bottles:

Jonquil - very strong, soapy floral

Bronze Scuppernog - very strong grape scent

    Edelweiss - grass scent

    Butterfly Beach - sweet, floral

Serendipity - strong, talc powder scent

Layla's Island - coppertone, classic benzoin sun block scent.

    Marvel's Grove - grass scent

Water Palace - Can't describe this scent. Hate it though.

    Pomona's Garden - sweet, floral

Bonsai (Revised) - green, watery, citrusy

Parma Viola d'Udine - delicate violet, not soapy like most violet oils.

Sacred Datura - Sweet, green... Smells like a diluted Avocado Mint scent.

Rustic Table Herbs - herbaceous, camphorous

Botanical Hemp - delicate green scent. Does not smell like hemp whatsoever.

1/2 ounce bottles (1 ounce bottles with only half remaining):

Adirondack House - smells like a strong clean cotton Yankee Candle scent

Trillium Lake - smells like a very strong ozonic Yankee Candle scent

Brighton Pavilion - delicate feminine scent.

    Saikaido - benzoin, floral, rocky.

If anyone ever comes across a dupe of Japanese Silverberry, Brighton Pavilion, Saikaido, Adirondack House, or Trillium Lake, please contact me! Thank you!

FYI I found almost a full 1 oz of Brighton Pavilion you are welcome to, if you want to PM your addy ;-)

  6. Did anyone else get the email she is closed? I contacted the new supplier and this is the email back I received regarding Goddess:

    Hello Julie,

Thank you for contacting us. We know that Kathy did a special buy on the Goddess a few months ago. That was not one of her regular fragrances, so we don’t have any in stock. However, we can add it to the Special Buy list and once we meet a minimum, we will order it. We know there were a group of soapers who took advantage of her special buy when she had it, so maybe they are in need of more again. How much of the fragrance do you need? We will see what we can do. We look forward to hearing from you.

  7. Nope, I would not use that, never mind selling it. I get the GM lotion from BCN, and it's good; you can buy a sample before dishing money out for a gallon.

Also tried the one from WSP but didn't like it at all, it felt soooo "waxy"!

Is it possible to post a link, I've been to BCN site and cannot find anything but the regular lotion base. I am going to BitterCreek North at wwwcandlesupply.com. Thank you!:grin2:

  8. (My mix up with the CS = Customer Service not Candle Science LOL)

But...Yes I am talking about Candle Science. They have not responded to a few emails or returned 3 phone calls?? I had a question regarding product, left messages, emailed and no matter what # I push on the phone, I always get the answering machine!! :rolleyes2 As of today, still have not heard back and it has been about 2 weeks???

Seriously.. C'mon suppliers.. It is rough for all of us!

But return you customers phone calls and emails!! GHEESH!!!

Double GHEESH!! I know it doesn't seem like much to them, but it was for my Valentine LE line, and so you have to go pick another fragrance NOT CHOCOLATE :smiley2: and rewrite your web descripts, it's a big pain in the

rumpus room even if it is just a little order to them.

  9. I've been having trouble with them for a while. I ordered right after Xmas and recieved in my order Pink Cupcakes, but Dark Chocolate was the scent in the bottle. Went thru many arguing emails with CS and got fed up, I know what chocolate smells like so I sent it back and requested a replacement.

That was Jan. 15th, no call backs, many many emails to ALL email addresses listed on the website. They def lost a good customer over one stupid bottle of FO. What gives??

  10. I need to vent a little, since the supplier doesn't seem to give a hoot or a holler....

I have been a customer of AH/RE for 4 years, and went to place an order last week, the Foaming Bath Base said temp OOS. There are 2 #s listed for online orders, I left a VM Thursday, a VM Friday (I think they are closed that day so w/e)

Monday afternoon I'm getting nervous, in the middle of Craft Shows & Holiday orders and all. I call the 2nd # and get Ms. What-theHell-r-u-Bothering-Me-With-This, she sighs and said I don't know I'll have to check. She comes back and says not until NEXT YEAR??? Are you freakin' kidding me?? I said. Nope. No sorry, big problem, just "too bad so sad your dad and goodbye". I shot off an email but still haven't heard from anyone. My other suppliers would def give their customers a heads up, many show LOW stock on the product. NEXT YEAR?? And not getting an answer makes me want to pull all of my business. Lemon juice in my papercuts I tell ya.........gosh...... thanks for listening...I hope they get coal in their stocking....
