yes, i've tried a few different FOs & they all do the same thing, no HT, but a great CT. they burn nice, have a good melt pool, etc, but just no throw! should i try different wicks for the pillars then?
actually, yes. every scent that i've used doesn't get a HT. the fruit slices scent i used had a great CT, but no HT. would trying a different wick work? i think i'm doing everything else right...
okay. so last weekend i posted about how to make my candles give that awesome scent throw. i am using 4625, 24 ply flat braid wick, pillar candle (3 x 6.5 round), all from Peak. the scent is the French Vanilla. i added FO at 175 degrees then poured. i used 1 oz of FO to 1 lb of wax. i let the candle cure for 6 days. the scent is extremely light. could it be the FO or am i doing something wrong??
haha. i have a few different scents. French Vanilla, Raspberry, Fruit Slices, Lilac, Strawberry-Kiwi. all are from Peak. what is LX? i actually bought one of the kits that come from Peak. the 24 ply flat braid is what they sent with the 3 X 6.5 pillar mold.
a pillar candle. i am using 24 ply flat braid. i also have made a couple tealights with it, with zinc core. any advice i would love. also, what is curing??
Hello. I'm fairly new to candlemaking. How can I get my candles to have that powerful smell? I am using IGI-4625, 1 oz of fragrance to 1 lb of the wax. The candles smell good, but it's not that wow! crazy scent. Please help!!!!
