Hi-I'm new here but find your questions and answers to be very helpful. I have questions on making soy pillar candles; can anyone share what wax and wicks they have had success with? I've experimented (only a little) with Nature Wax P-1 and CD wicks. I've found it to crack and frost when burned, and also instead of rolling in at the top, they tend to mushroom out, crack and drip down the sides. I tried going to a smaller wick but still had the frosting and cracking and hole burned down the center. I've heard that 100% soy doesn't make a very good pillar, is this true?
