Awesome soap! The line between the layers is so perfect. I cannot for the life of me get my layers not to go down into the bottom layer. I guess you have to pour pretty thick? Love the whipped look on top too.

Beautiful soaps! I wish I could swirl like that

I really like all of your soaps but the CHarcoal is awesome!

Your firestarters look very nice. I use crushed corn cob in my firestarters

Your soaps are beautiful. I especially love the texture and the sparkle.

I have to agree with the others that your soap looks really cool even though it didn't turn out exactly as you envisioned.

I really LOVE LOVE LOVE lavender by itself and I LOVE lemon as well. I think that Lavender is one of those scents that blends well with lots of others fragrances. I have just started blending my own mix and I started out at 50/50 just to see which fragrance would overpower the other. I wanted mine to be a little more on the lavender side and at 50/50 I could smell mostly lemon. Lavender & Lemon is on my list to try in CP - I will probably up the lavender.

I am trying to perfect my body butter recipe and I currently use corn starch to make it a little less greasy. Someone suggested to me to use Tapioca Starch that it would be better in the butter
. However, I have only been able to find Tapioca Flour at a healthfood store where I live. The lady at the healthfood store said that it is pretty much the same thing as Tapioca Starch but one of my friends says not. Being that I have never used it and I don't cook alot, I just wonder if it is the same thing. -
Hello. I am sorta new here. I have been reading posts for a little while now and I must say that there is alot of information here. It is a little overwhelming. I just wanted to tell a little about myself. I have been making candles for 4 years and CP soap for going on 2 years. I also like to scrapbook. I am learning so much here!!
I hope it is ok to post an intro in this section. I couldn't post in the off topic section
Bugs in Soy Wax?
in Vegetable Wax & Beeswax Candle Making
Posted
I am just starting to test soy wax and after I melted the wax, there were 3 tiny little bugs floating in the wax. I did not see any little bugs when I was weighing out the wax (but I wasn't looking for them either). Only saw them after I melted the wax.
Is this normal for soy wax?
