  1. Scents - Well, I must admit they probably look better than they smell. When I have leftover wax, in to the votive molds it goes without wick pins. I then package 6 to a small zip lock bag or a whole bunch into a gallon bag. My daughter was passing by when I asked for help and of course choosing color combinations for her is easy. I quickly grabbed gallon zip lock bags and frantically stuffed votives as colors were rapidly combined. Must of had 50+ different color/scent combinations laying around from which she quickly combined 3/4 of the different color/scent combinations. In the future I will think ahead and make 1-3 votives of 2-5 different colors but same scent per 3" pillar (approximately 12 oz wax). As far as the fill wax, I take a votive and skewer it with a long steel rod, then holding it above the candle, melt the wax with a torch set extremely low. I change the colors frequently as the candle is assembled. Hope this helps.
  2. My first try at chunk pillar. Used 4045H in a 3" aluminum mold. Added a bit of clear at the start to fill voids - the clear picked up some of the different colors on the way down. My daughter picked out the colors - I'm not so good at that.
