  1. Thank you Misty I ended up breaking 2 of the containers, so had to buy new ones, then i just remelted all the wax and started over, lol. I did add more scent just before the pour, cuz I seem to have lost alot of it. This newbie is learning. LOL Thanks again
  2. I put that as the title cuz you all are the best. Youv'e helped me alot, and I'm here again w/my newbie questions. lol I did a large container pour (about 10 container candles), I did not use mold release, cuz they are not molds, but I screwed up somewhere. Most, no all, but most of them caved hard in the center, ok, I know where I went wrong cuz I read lots here. My question is: Is it of ya'll advice that I dig out the wax and remelt, cuz some of the (ok, most of the) wicks are NOT stright now? The wicks that seem to be pretty striaght, I'm just going to fill up the centers, but what about the rest of them? Thank you all in advance, cuz I know your the best group to help me out. phxmtngirl
  3. Ok, another question from the newbie here. Thermometer. I have 2 glass ones, and both seem to have the paper card inside at different temps. What thermometer is best to use??? Everything I have read so far stress's the point of accurite temps. Thanks
  4. Thank you all for posting answers for me. No none of these are for re-sale, just home use. I am a newbie at this, so the selling thing is a long ways away for me. lol Some of the containers are glass, and some are pottery. as for being glazed inside, nope 3 of them are not. So I will put the new candles in glass. Again thanks for the info.
  5. I have several pottery/clay containers that were candles. I have scraped all the old wax out and cleaned them w/wax cleaner, then a nice soap & water bath & rince. My question is can I use Yaley "glass fill wax" or should I use plain parffin with an additives? Just a another note here. I'm wondering how safe older (10+ yrs) containers really are? I have never had problems in the past, but then I have never actually cleaned them, and poured new wax into them. Thanks
