cool love the bright colors !

Candlelady
It is a wax seal, it comes in a colored glue stick form. After I squeeze a big blob out I press my logo brass stamper in it. Let it cool, then antique it with rust colored guilding paste. It's fun, and different...that's me.
Scented
Thanks for clarifying the milk comment. It's helpful to hear everyones opinions... that's why I posted.
I have come back to admire these again I just love the wax stamp so cool !

don't care for fairy garden if it is the one that smells like kudzu how ever you spell it ! lol

to make the wax seal label, you use what they call "Faux sealing wax", basically colored glue sticks you put through a low temp glue gun then you stamp it with a brass seal (like they use to seal letters with a century ago). I wanted something different, so here you go.
Ooooo very cool !

cool but what is faux wax ?
Thanks, I love Votivo candles, so I Had a wax seal stamper engraved, so I could make my own wax seals (actualy it Faux wax). -
Hey! I resemble that remark!:rolleyes2 But I also didn't want splinters and it was Angela's fault when she remarked about the TABLE!
I will most DEFINATELY be there next year and everyone else had better be there too....
Christy, You need to come to this gathering. I miss seeing ya! It's been a few years!
And if everyone must know.. I am sure Scented and I would NOT have acted that way if it wasn't for birdie's bawdy comment!

i have a question if it has to be period exact how are you being allowed to use parrafin pillar wax . if in thoughs times it was tallow or beeswax .
-
It is in slabs, not as sticky or in a bag like comfort wax, I have tested it. It's a good wax, really good throw cold & hot and pretty easy to wick.
ahhh i wonder if it is a mix of CB with soy . not like we will find out just guessing lol
in the picture it looks really soft .
chris love your ferret siggy
maybe try and htp 73 they make that size right ?

I have been watching this thread and glad to see you posted your results. I am interested in seeing pics
When you said that the wax is sticky and similar to thick vaseline - is it formed into slabs or in a blob like the 4627 Comfort Blend?
if you have to scoop it out i wonder if it is comfort blend just with a different name ?
when i tried CB I had a heck of a time with it and gave it up fast !!! course that was years ago too .

They could possibly leak wax out of the bottom also. I tried that with some decorative metal tins before and had a mess. I know there's got to be a way to seal them first but I just never tried them again.
you seal them with modge podge

I have never heard of the FO duck farts. Where did you get it and what does it smell like? (I had to ask).
Well, let's just hope your headaches don't return. Oh and I know what you mean about the FOs. I can't hardly stand to have FOs sitting around that have not been tested. I guess I'm just too curious to see how they turn out in the finished product.
Happy testing!
the duck farts made me chuckle hope you are having a better time wicking and no headaches !
