No. 31% of coconut is not enough to be a drying soap, especially since 64% is olive. Olive is super moisturizing. You'll get a bar that is moisturizing and lathers well.

I bank at a local bank and use merchant services through them. I get charged 3.7% per transaction. Period. No other fees. You may want to check with your bank or other banks to see what they offer. If you go with another bank, you'll have to have a business account with them. No biggie.

My thoughts are, if you're going to do herbal candles, why use paraffin? The two just don't go together in my book.

I make all beeswax tapers scented with EOs.

Ginger is warming, as is cinnamon and cayenne. I'm taking EOs. A very very very very very little is all that's needed and be careful around the eyes!

Suzanne, You were great in the video. I was amazed to see that you slice your right there, with out packaging, so the customers can smell them. I think the is so kewl. :smiley2: How long does it take to set up, w/all those logs of soap? Did hear correctly that you grow your herbs? That is great.

I don't have just soaps, I have herbal medicine products as well. It takes me about 2 hours to set up. Lots of work! I wildcraft my herbs...meaning I go up in the mountains, in farm areas, the beach, where ever the wild plants grow and use them in my formulas. If I have to buy herbs because they don't grow here and I want them in a certain product, I have an organic farmer grow them for me.

mms was 3 bucks a pound. That's cheaper than anywhere else I've found.

I have a recipe for using oil instead of witch hazel. It takes a couple of days, but they get rock hard!

I buy mine at the local supermarket, they sell it in the canning section.

I looked for it at a few stores..Wal-Mart, feed stores, hardware stores, Fred Meyer, no one had it. The price I got it for is very good even with shipping.

I just ordered 10 pounds and even with shipping, it's still cheaper by far than essential. I'm thrilled, thank you so much for directing me to them.

Essential is $8 a pound. That seems really high to me. I'm up in Washington State and am looking for cheaper citric acid near me because of shipping charges. Anyone have any ideas?

I got to thinking and just blurted out about the molds. How rude of me. I blame menopause!

Does anyone else make a mold like that, perhaps more cavities, that can go in an oven?

I do my salt bars in a 25 inch long log mold and I tell you, cutting them gets iffy sometimes as they want to crumble.

I like the idea of not having to cut them.
