  1. Open the program, select the image you want to resize, then go to the Image tab, and select the Resize line....this will bring up a dialogue box where you can select the new size you want for your image. Just remember to save the new image....preferably with a new name, so that you keep the original image as it was....just in case you want to change it again in the future. Remember also....making the image smaller is easier than making it bigger due to resolution factors.

  2. If you use the HP Image Zone software, you can get the borders on your prints. When you select to print, the dialogue box comes up, there you will see Paper Size....with a scroll down menu. If you choose 4 x 6 for example, and print preview, it will show that your image has a border. You can also choose to select a custom size....by choosing 3.5 x 5.5 and using 4x6 paper...you will gain a 1/4" border that way. For other software programs such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, you can resize your image to gain that border you want. Let me know if you need further assistance. Hope I've been able to help. :smiley2:

  3. We were at a show last year advertised as a home based business show. Turns out there were more "commercial" vendors than anything else. There was a Partylite vendor across the aisle from us as well as a Mia Bella vendor down the row from us. The thing that ticked me off was that the Mia Bella guy came to our table 3 times trying to get us to join his group. I finally asked him how much $ he made last year and when I told him I made more than he I asked "Why would I join you...have to share my income with others in my group when I made more than you doing this alone?" Not sure if his income he stated was accurate and really none of my business...the point being WHY SHOULD I join something that shares percentages of profits when we're doing fine on our own?? Not to mention we hand pour our candles as opposed to being poured via machines mass produced. The Mia Bella factory is close by...less than 20 minutes awayd from us......but our customers buy from us BECAUSE we hand pour! Just venting...thanks! Thought I'd put my 2 cents worth in. :rolleyes2

  4. Thank you....we're very excited that we'll be able to have an actual storefront. Our craft and festival show customers are always asking where they can purchase more product.....now they will have two choices..online and the store. We won't be doing anything till the spring....also...we have a baby on the way...so we'll be concentrating on that part of our lives as well. :D

  5. Hello all. Just throwing this out there...a pic of our new store front. It won't be open for awhile, have to decorate the inside and all. It's 540 square feet. I'll be posting more as we get working on it. We plan a grand opening next year.

  6. We do craft shows, and a website and have just purchased a new home (new to us anyways) that has a separate storefront on the property already. It was formerly a seafood store. We will be refurbishing the store and opening it in the summer time after our baby is born. We'll keep you posted. :D

  7. paraffin WAS a vegetable.

It's made from petroleum, and petroleum is made of fossil vegetables (trees).

Sorry.....but petroleum is NOT made from fossil vegetables...it's made from fossil FUELS which is the remains from dinosaur bones, and other decomposed organic materials. TREES are not vegetables either.....trees become peat when decomposed. Paraffin is made from the filtered remains of petroleum oil after it has been refined.

  8. Call Paula and ask her how many of the ones you want are left in stock...then ask her about them discontinuing it. Would seem strange to me if they did, but she didn't say anything to me about a discontinuation. I'm interested in knowing what she tells you. We use the Jar Store as our main source, and often buy the frosted containers for special orders.

  9. Hello. Just saying hi to all forum members. :cheesy2: I've been making candles for about 20 years, soy candles for about 5. We own and operate a small home based candle business selling to both the retail and wholesale markets, as well as doing craft shows and local festivals.

Hopefully we will get to know alot of members here, and look forward to gaining/sharing information.
