  1. Thankyou so very much for responding!!I have noticed that the container candles come out alot nicer than the votives...I also noticed that when I pour at a cooler temp the tops are smoother .. I was pouring at about 170 now I pour at about 150
  2. They are melting too fast.. Not much scent throw after they are lit.. Mild frosting...The votives sides do not melt all the way .. they melt straight through to the center until they burn themselves out but a good portion of the sides are still standing...
  3. What do you know about Kosher444 soy wax? That is the wax I am working with ... Is it any good? I am trying to figure out the problems I am having with my candles and IM not sure if its my wax or if its my technique:confused:
  4. Thanks so much for the responses... No they dont look oily at all they just kind of felt oily.... Did not realize soy felt that way...Can ya tell im new lol:embarasse
  5. I was wondering how to make those too... Dh wants some for his truck...
  6. Yes I am weighing EVERYTHING out...The temp is about 170 before I add the FO I stir for about 3 min.. then add color stir for another 5min.. Then I pour..
  7. I am very new to candle making (about 2 weeks new ) So far I have made 3 batches of candles.... They seem to feel kind of oily.. I am measuring 1oz of FO per lb. of wax..... plus however many drops of color dye needed to obtain the color I was looking for.... I am trying to find out what type of soy wax I have been buying but my supplier wont return my EMails.. Does the type matter?? BTW The cold and hot scent throws are WONDERFUL... they just dont look professional yet...
