Love those jars, and looks like you've gotten some great ideas for how to label yours.
I'm wondering do these only come in the 2 sizes I saw at the Jar Store? (8 & 12oz)
I'd like to use these also, but I would like to have a smaller jar (like maybe 4-6oz) for those people who are looking for something less expensive (you know those "cheap" peeps?? LOL).
I've looked but the only places I've seen have the 8 and 12 oz. sizes and that's it.
Sorry to hijack your post.
Michi check this out:
It is a 6 ounce frosted jar with a lid.

Not sure what you mean by "suck up the tart scent"? If you mean does the wrap absorb the scent, no it does not. I use the drawstring bags that pull from both sides and then tie it. Since I use Soy...the tarts are soft, I use the bees was because it gives the soy a shine. I use the tart molds form Candlewic and they make an one ounce tart.
I think you girls have made some sense here.....I will chage my selling strategy and tell my customers to use two tarts...then I will sell more:yay:

Agreed, I am not crazy about many of KY's scents. However, Vicky has a very loyal customer base. Most of her scents are sweet and bakery. I must tell you that there is one scent that i have used for years and is one if my best sellers "Lemon Pound Cake". Customers go crazy for it. I did learn a long time ago that it is not what I like but what my customers like. If I just used scents that I personally prefered I would be selling a lot less product.

Lynn, what is your ratio of wax to FO, and how large are your tarts? The reason I ask is because I use 1 lb soy, 1 ounce bees wax, and 1 ounce FO. My tarts are basically 1 ounce each. I have a a large home with 20 foot ceilings and one tart does kitchen, living room, den, dining room and loft.
The scent is very strong.

PS...the reason I use the stretch wrap is because soy is softer and tends to smear the bags. So the stretch wrap keeps the bags nice and clear.

You know I heard all the negativity on several boards...but not specific. However, I will share this with you.

She put this out many years ago and it was a huge help to me at the time. The recipes especially. Through experience I found that this was not the most accurate but at the time it was most helpful.

How about a, in addition to the warning label on the bottom, you secure a hang tag with some approriately colored elastic cording.

If you are looking to make hundreds at a time silcone mold are cost prohibitive! Kraft foods make some wonderful molds...I use them all the time.

I've never found they get beat up that much. Maybe go with a regular cigar band?
This site always gave me good ideas for soap packaging.
Wow I live in Florida and order from PV all the time and have never looked at this page...
Thanks for sharing,

Love the cinnamon splotches. The labels are great...but I do agree that perhaps a darker print would make it all POP!

Anna, I'm not sure what you are looking for:
Is It a mold for soap that looks like stones.

Thank you fro taking the time to search.

They look very nice and "clean" and like Robin said, professional, I just wish I could see them closer.
I think I'm really starting to like "simple" labels much better lately, they just seem to say, "high end" to me for some reason. ??
Simple is always more elegant and black and white is timeless!
Goiod job Mysticglow:wink2:

Those are made from water softener pellets. I make something similar but I use the crystals. I like the look of the crystals better but I guess it is whatever you like.
HTH,
Hi Theresa, I make the crystal Potpourri also....but I don't think those stones are water softner pellets. The are too uniform.

Tin Floating Candle Mold
$0.48 per unit [ VIEW VOLUME PRICING | ORDER NOW ]
Candles made in floater / tart candle molds can be used to float in water in a center piece and or a party favor. These molds are seamless and made from
www.candlewic.com
These are the molds that I use....if you watch the site they often go on sale for 2/1. So I can buy 200 for $48.00. I actually caught a sale at .18 a piece. They are great and I have hundreds of them.
FYI..I don't pre package my tarts in the drawstring bags...what I do is display them in divider box, much like a utility tray. I let the buyer choose the scents. I sell them .75 each and then 2/1.00. Cost me about .12 to make.
So I avergage 4x my cost. That includes wax, scent, coloring and packageing.
