So I'm trying to decide border or no border. I've been using the border one, but I"m kinda ready for a new look and I keep having issues with sometimes not all the border printing on the label. I"m tried of wasting labels! This is just the 5 oz. Apothocary I also have 10 & 16 oz.

Preferred wick (Not sizes)? HTP, CD

Pouring temp you recommend? Very Slushy

What you do to prevent frosting? Nothing, not much of a problem and when they do it isn't easily seen since I don't color

What you do to prevent rough tops? poor cool, and if i do get rough tops it is cuz i poured too cool and I use a heat gun to even

Do you do anything to prevent wet spots? no, I don't see them too often

This is a granual sachet base I bought from Gelluminations. the stuff that looks like Kitty litter...lol. It didn't come with any instructions.

Well I"ve made some more and I"m letting sit in a tight jar for maybe a week or so before packaging in envelopes, think this will help?

If you are creative you could buy the plain colors and paint something.

Not a bad price IMO. I'm preparing for a show that cost $300 per day plus $65 for electric. It is a 3 day show. It is huge like 500 hundred vendors.

Thank ya'll for your opinions. I personally like the look of the flat better too, but up to now didn't want to pay the little extra. Now i'm ready, but I still have too many dome to switch completely.

I have thought about the wooden, black and brown, but I think i want to stick with the glass for now.

I make candles in the 5, 10 & 16 oz apothacary jars with the dome lids. I'm thinking of using the flat lids for the 10 just for variety. Is this a crazy idea to have some dome and some flat?

ANy body know if this has to set for a certain amount of time before packaging? I made some with 2oz. fo per pound packaged in the kraft envelopes and I don't think they scent has held very well. this is only about 3 weeks after making them and i don't think they are very strong smelling any more. could it be that I accidently left the lid off the container i mixed it in with the scented base in it, the first night after i mixed it?

I like the HTP's for my small jars. I use mainly HTP & Cd for my larger/wider jars and double wick.

I also do colorless, that is all I've ever done. I'm such a tester freak. For those of you that say to offer it natural or with the customer's choice of color...do you not test the candle before making it with color? I"m just curious.

I know of a lady who makes little balls out of the wax and puts the balls in a mason jar and calls themsnowman poop and the brown ones are moose poop! LOL! It;s pretty creative and there is no investment in molds! You already have the jars! HTH!

I use Denditric Salt and Natrasorb too. If your salt is too coarse you could give it a whirl in a coffee grinder.

That is just really strange. Never heard the likes. The only thing I wonder is if she had it plugged in and turned on, but that is a no brainer i'm sure. maybe you should ask to borrow her burner and try it for yourself. I'd be very curious to see what you find.

sometimes I think my labels are boring and need a change...i just get tired of seeing them all the time...but hey at least I have labels. lol!

I just ordered some of KY"s para soy. I hear it is great! can't wait to try it.

You'll probably need to ask for a catalog. they have them for 6.25 & 6.50 each. And if you get more than 12 there is a small price break. I've only tried the 6.50 ones and love them!

Thank you each for your input! Never heard of the Dentric salt, so I'll do some searching for that and maybe that will help them dry out. They don't clump since they are course to begin with. so far I'm not real fond of the course...I think they take too long to melt.
