I hear you on the ink but I tell you what I found...I have a Brother Laser Printer and went to Amazon.com and literally bought the ink at half price (41 dollars) from what I usually pay at Staples which is the same amount as your Office Depot price. I got 2 colors and they worked great and lasted forever just like the ones from the supply store! Hope that helps for the future.

No, I actually use 6006 wax. It works well for me with the LX wicks and I only had to try about 4 containers before I got it right...

For the amount we are going to be purchasing, we found that CS has the best prices for us at .47 each but we were looking to cut that amount in half if we were to get it directly. Just was wondering if anyone knew or had any direct experience. We are looking at ordering approx. 2500 jars or so...Was just trying to get rock bottom pricing to increase my profit...Thanks for the help!! Anyone else have any ideas??

Hi guys, I need your help here especially from those of you who do multiple or larger fundraisers. I need to know where I can get extremely economical hex jars...I know CS has them pretty low but I am trying to avoid the middle man and get straight to the manufacturer to keep my costs down. Any help at all you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Do I have to go to China??? HELP!!! Anyone with tips on where to economically get 6006 igi wax would be helpful to!

Know what, I agree with you whole heartedly indy girl...I have no idea who the manufacturers are though...I know who it is for my wax but I don't know for fragrances...Would love help finding out...

Just wanted to give an update that Dan from CS called us today to apologize for the situation that occurred and the way we were spoken to. He was awesome and very bothered that we were upset. He spoke with my husband at length and agreed to have him or Mike handle any situation or question we may have in the future so that we may bypass Diane. He also stated he would speak to her in regards to this because if he doesn't know that there are issues or problems, then he can't resolve them!! We will continue to use CS even after this occurred due to the fact that someone cared and followed up...(plus, I love their stuff) I will be a ittle more cautious though but am happy with their attempt to resolve our issue!! Just wanted to keep you posted on the final outcome!!

Deb...No, We both spoke to her. I called first and the situation was not resolved and then my husband called. We are Christians and were cordial...just believe we were not handled appropriately. People have bad days so that is why I say we will wait and see what happens....I'm not angry, just bothered and dissappointed!

I have spoken with her before as well and never had an issue. I know sometimes people have bad days and such but it really bothered us as customers. She even threatened to cancel our order because she said my husband was being rude. We were just upset about a particular situation and not being able to add 2 ozs of a particular fragrance to an order that was placed. We had to pay an additional shipping fee of $11.00 and re-order. They forgot to send my free sample last time I ordered and I didn't make a big deal or even call them. It was free so I am always grateful to receive something free. It was just something so trivial and minute to have a problem over but....we will see what happens and I may just have to change suppliers. Thanks for listening to me vent guys and may all of you have a safe and blessed 4th of July, Enjoy the fireworks!!

Hey Vicki, I've never had any problems either until now and I have been using them for quite a while. When we asked to speak with Mike (whom I might add we have spoken with many times before),she stated Mike does not deal with the customers and she would give him a message!! It just seems like these larger companies do not care much about the little guys anymore...probably cause they have much bigger fish with much bigger $ I am sure. Just discouraged and actually quite sad. I have always loved them as a company! Just an FYI for everyone, not trying to discourage anyone from using them, just want other people to be informed!!

Don't know if I posted this in the right place or not and if I didn't, I apologize!! I just have to vent a little in regards to a situation with a supplier that I spend $25,000/yr with or possibly more! I love CandleScience, I love their fragrances, I love Mike(one of the owner I believe) and with that being said, it is amazing to me how one person in their office can make it so difficult to not want to continue to order from them. Diane in their office has not provided good customer service to us nor does she care if she retains us as customers or not. When my husband said, doesn't it matter to you that we order so much from you and we are unhappy with a particular issue that occurred, her reply was that they have a lot of other accounts besides us as well to take care of. I was simply appalled. I am so dissappointed because I get a large majority of my items from them and have to say that I will be looking for a new supplier due to the way things were handled. It really is a shame because I am happy with everything else about them....Just an FYI in the future if you happen to have to call CS for anything, I truly would veer away from speakingwith the aforementioned!!

Either I am a day late & a dollar behind or I am going nuts!!?? I cannot find one anywhere...Checked Wal Mart in store and online from previous posts and cannot find. Checked Lowes & Home Improvement but to no avail. Looks Like Sams had at one time but no longer does. I got some big fundraisers and the prestos are killin me...Need to move along and save time..Can anyone help me locate one?? TIA for any help...

I use Tennessee as well for their 70/30 and it is phenomenal but.......it is really expensive and with shipping, comes out to b $2.00 a lb if not a lil more. A lil too much for me so I am looking for a new wax. Anyone like Farmhouse 50/50?? Looking for a 70/30 or 50/50 blend that is good. I wanted to try a sample of JS 50/50 but it appears you have to order a whole case online. I do not see a 5 or 10 lb slab listed.

I really don't know the answer to your question either...but I would suggest asking the supplier as well...I know that God has Claire in the palm of his hand as he loves children and she is experiencing a wonderful place now. Could it be the wick though? The pre tabbed wick has a small circular silver base and then it has a little cylindrical silver piece that comes up from the base and hides the wick.....then the wick appears after about a 1/2 inch and continues to the top of the ja. The flame cannot go further down than the wick will go. So, that little piece of silver cylinder is about 1/4 inch high and that is about how much wax is left? Where do you get your wicks from??

As with all companies, I am sure most have really good days & really bad days. The good days are when you make a grand or two at a weekend craft show. The bad days are when you can't seem to get the wicking right on a particular candle....I need help guys! I am using 2 LX 16's in a 10 oz apothecary jar. There are some people complaining that the flame goes out where the wick stops but that there is still a 1/3 to a 1/4 of the candle wax left around the jar. I am using pretabbed wicks from Candlescience...is there another type of wick or something I could be doing different? The wick does have a little silver piece it fits in that stems up slightly from the base of the wick....Please help, I am trying to have more good days than bad days now!!!! Have a great rest of the week and TIA for any answers on this thread.

Okay....SOOOOO....How do we make these darn things??? Melt & Pour? The hard part is figuring out how they do the middle. Pour into a mold & then embed the mold piece into another mold??? Any ideas? We could all get rich together here!

Hi guys, For those of you that use 70/30, I just got new 70/30 from Tennessee Candle supply and have a question I need help with. Will someone give me a starting point with a wick for a 9 oz hex jar?? Also, with a 10 oz apothecary jar too... I have read threads and simply am struggling with this whole candle making thing lately. I have been testing and have been in busines a little over 2 years but each batch of 70/30 keeps coming out different from these manufacturers (every different batch varies, nothingis ever consistent) once I think I got the proper wicking down. Please help....
