This is from a friend:
NEEDS HELP!!! I'm looking for these boxes! I've Googled forever...can't find 'em. I could care less about the ribbon....and don't even worry about the ABC's on them (the person who owned this just stamped them on the box). I blurred the label to protect the owner. I just need the plain box with the clear window! My guess is that they are approx. 8 or 9 inches x 5 or 6 inches x3 inches or so...something in there. I just want the boxes!! Any packaging experts?
They are more heavy duty than pastry or bakery boxes. She thinks they're called presentation boxes.
Any help greatly appreciated!
TIA!

Kymber,
Please tell me more... Brand, size, cost and such. I've seen these mentioned before but have not yet looked into them.
Thanks a bunch
Dawn
Here is a link, electric turkey fryer, not the pot kind that sits over an lp tank

I made a candle for a hurricane once and I wasn't thinking, I added 2 1/2 oz of fo for an 8 oz candle!!! The wax held it all just fine, but it was incredibly super strong, not in a good way.

I ordered my Premier 700 wicks from The Natural Artisan. You can order a Qty. of 25 for $1.90. I ordered serveral different sizes and received them all quickly and also received fragrance oil samples. IMO, excellent customer service.
Thank you so much for that info on small quantity wick!! I tried getting Wick it to send me samples of the 700 wicks and they told me to buy them from a supplier for testing, then order from them when I need over 1000. The only supplier they listed that had 700's in small numbers was soycandle.com but I'd have had to buy every size at $5+ for 50. Great site for testing in small quantities!!!

You could use a Jiffy Wicker instead of screws and sealer, it's a little cheaper than buying wick pins. But then wick pins can be used forever and jiffey wickers need to be refilled. Jiffy wicker consists of a foam washer and a metal washer, these things can be made yourself for pennies.

Instructions on how to use it are here

Wick pins are really nice to use when testing wicks since they're easily changeable. I wouldn't drill a hole in a mold just in case it doesn't get centered properly, if you have a drill press you'd get close but drill bits may create burs on the inside of the mold hole.

It's against the law to add a credit card fee.
??? Then why does the local Taco Bell add $1.00 for Credit/Debit use?? if it isn't legal how are they able to do it w/o being prosecuted. Why do the local gas stations charge a fee for credit cards, like Arco they charge $1 to use plastic, most 76 stations here charge an extra $.10 for each gallon of gas. How are they able to get away with it! Little mom & pop shops have little signs at the register, $.50-$1.50 fee for credit/debit purchases.

Is this RA that charges 250? I thought I heard this before too. Why would anyone pay that if the majority of the manufactures will dupe what ever you want for free, and send you samples until they get it right for free? Heck put that $250 towards the 25-35 min they all carry anyway.
Yes that is crazy, that's why I ruled them out!
I use or have used all of the the companies OP mentioned and I have had good luck with all of them. I will say that Bellaire is my favorite and yes they dupe.Awesome that is the feedback I was looking for! Thanks soo much! Good to hear Belle Aire dupes, they just don't respond to emails!! I will give them a call when I get back from vacation. I was wanting to go with Belle-Aire just by other posters ravs and I love CS & Genwax fo, so I know I must have tested a few of Belle-Aires oils!!

Check out paypals website. There is a lot of info on there about what you're talking about doing. It's best to go to the source, you should find your answer there.

I also am going through soy wick woes. I have ordered sampler kits of all kinds to test, CD, LX, HTP, Cotton, Zinc, CSN, 700's, RRD, Performa. When is enough, enough? I too am thinking this wax isn't worth it, I like it for tarts and wickless but I just seriously don't think it's worth all the work, all this testing just means higher candle prices for customers. Cotton seems to give the best HT but mushrooms. I just tried palm wax. I think the CT is much stronger than soy and I have had great luck with scents and wicking it. I keep a 5 subject notebook full of wick and container info I read on this board, so that helps me with where to start wick wise, I use what's worked for other people. For example for soy & 4" container I have:
2-LX14
LX28
2-755 for most scents, 2 750 for undyed, 2 760-65 harder to burn scents
Then that way later on down the line I'm not looking up old posts, it's all there in my CT notebook. My DH thought I was a loser until he discovered a Fly Fishing Forum and now he's just as hooked as I am.

Thank you Susan, RA is a 5lb minimum. I already knew about Taylored Concepts. I was looking for feedback on these specific suppliers because I'd like to resell the fo as well, so cost is an issue. I know most people won't share who their manufacture but I figured if someone had a bad experience with one listed I would get some feedback that way. I will just order samples from those places and figure it out after testing.

I know this isn't the same palm wax, but the yellow pillar is not colored, gives you an idea of how the GG would look au natural

I've never heard of those, but Bel Aire has excellent FO's!!
I've contacted them twice so far and have heard nothing from them. I am looking to get something duped/typed. Does Bel Aire dupe?? The companies listed above are the places I've heard back from that do dupe/type. I've contacted many more, just didn't hear back or they don't dupe.
Thanks
Amy

when they are dry, does it mean that the container is clear and clean (not oily) and they don't splash and attach on its sides?
It can take even a week to absorb the fo. I found that thick fos take longer like vanillas. If you're using an oil you have to wick up on if you make candles, chances are it will take longer to absorb with aroma beads.

You can use a peg board and display them that way on a peg. Some clamshells already have a hole for a peg, if they don't you can easily punch a hole. Pretty easy to make too if you're looking for a vertical display and not baskets.

Wait until the tarts are cool then put them in the freezer for a few mins, they should just pop out
-
I am looking into getting fos and was wondering if any of you have any feedback for any of these companies:
Bell
Chemica
Belmay
Quality & price?
TIA
Amy

Do you make tarts or melts? You could make a small batch of tarts in both scents (if it's just two). Let them cure a few days and test them in a warmer/burner if you have one, that way too, if one scent is too strong you can add more of the other scent until you find a happy medium. When I do this some times I don't bother with molds I just pour 1/4" layer into a metal pan and cut the wax before it sets up. But it still isn't going to give you the best outcome aside from just mixing it up and testing.
-
To those who use MC a lot: Could you list the fos that are NOT so strong?
Every scent I've tried!!
Birthday Cake
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
Monkey Farts
Christmas Eve
None of them was worth it to me. Hmm I wonder if someone would be interested in buying them. Not doing me any good!!! I tested in soy and parasoy

and found that Wholesale Supplies Plus is a little bit cheaper.
Did you get a shipping quote from WSP for shipping that wax? WSP way overcharges for shipping and I bet CS will be cheaper in the longer run when you factor in shipping!! CS is in NC and WSP is OH, your in Florida? CS shopping cart is dead on, WSP isn't. Before you order get a quote from them! I don't purchase from them just because their shipping is outrageous!!! Plus CS is closer to you anyway.

It's pretty easy to do. I get my silicone from hobbysilicone.com
You just mix the 2 parts and pour! To make a mold you can use just about anything, pyrex bakeware, paper cups etc.
-
CS does sell wick kits, like a wick sampler so you wouldn't be spending a lot to find the right wick. I wonder if the votive kit would work?
-
No, wish I could find a place that TRULY wholesales these. I've been buying just the standard white plastic ones at either Wal Mart or Michaels for $3.50-$5.00. I sell a warmer and a 4 oz tin for $16.00, not always a big profit, but I find I sell more wickless by having the warmers on hand. Usually they will buy the set and then 2-4 extra tins.
If you're looking for plain here is a link directly to the company that makes them in China.

keep googling fragrance oil manufacturer or use other key words, they are out there because thats how I found mine
Thanks for the tip. I had been searching for fragrance duplication, that's how I got the list I posted earlier. Off to google I go. The thing that is most frustrating is no response from my inquiries. I guess they want someone to call, that shows more interest?
Thanks!
Looking for a packaging box with window

Thank you! I already sent her to papermart.com and those boxes are too thin for her. I have been googling window bakery boxes but none are as thick as this particular box.
I did find some at nashvillewraps.com but those are really dressed up boxes and really expensive.
Thanks again!
