    That's exactly what I'm looking to do but have no idea how to cut the hole in such a hard stone! Thanks! I'll keep searching. Never thought about a lapidary group.

    Hi, I'm new to your forum and I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how to make rock candle holders? I don't want to make the oil ones, I actually just want to drill a hole and place a tea candle holder in it. I live near Lake Superior and have access to tons of beautiful, round, smooth granite rocks. I think I would need a diamond drill bit but I'm not sure how I'd secure the rock while I'm drilling. Any suggestions would be so welcomed!! Thanks
