Hi Folks, I intend to make my own Gel Wax from scratch. Any precautionary advice (from expereinced makers) is appreciative to make Gel Candles safer, having read that Gel candles can be dangerous as they tend to ignite... Dhimit;)

Hi Guys, Can I make my own ZINC CORE WICKS or anything close that I can use in GEL CANDLES ? I'm based in Kenya & there's no place where I can buy ZINC CORE WICKS. Dhimit

I've read that a ZINC CORE WICK is the way to go for GEL CANDLES ?! Can I use a 'PRIMED' WICK for GEL CANDLES ? Can experienced GEL CANDLE makers please advise on the best wick type to use for GEL CANDLES WITHOUT losing it's extended burning advantage !! I believe GEL WAX burns upto 5 times longer than Parrafin Wax candles. Dhimit
