  1. It is hard to give a specific number - I have sold hundreds at small shows and next to nothing at the huge shows. It just depends on what people want on a given day. You could look at the total you have sold over the total number of hours you have been at shows and try to take the average as a starting place for planning. HTH!

  2. I am not sure of my lot number right now (would have to look when I get home) but I haven't had any issues with the wax. My frosting issues result from the way it is cooling I believe. I am one of the people who had the "soapy" wax from a bad batch and there is a big difference in what I have now versus that. I hope your issues get resolved!

  3. Thank you everyone! I use washed jars so I don't think that is it. Maybe I should just double wash :)

I ended up trying to remelt some but just got too tired trying to keep up with it. I think I will just let it be and take your suggestion to just explain it to customers that it is a property of the wax.

  4. I am busy making candles for craft shows (probably like a lot of you!). I have been in the same house for a year, poured them the same way in the same location, and have been fine. I use C3 wax and don't add anything except dye and fragrance.

I looked this morning at the ones I made a couple of weeks ago and most of them have side frosting! I looked at these same candles a few days ago and they were fine. They are stored in a closet that remains pretty close to a constant temp (it sits near the thermostat).

I am at a total loss and just ready to pull my hair out! I don't know if people will care or not but some of them have about 1/2 to 3/4 of the sides with the frosting. I don't have the time to make them again.

    HELP!!!!!

Thanks so much for listening and any advice you can provide!

  5. That stinks! I am not sure why one size would do that either. I did an indoor craft fair once where they turned the heat off at night. When I came in the next morning, most of my candles had frosted! I was so upset about it - people still bought them so maybe they didn't care but I am really sensitive to it.

    Good luck with the labelling!

  6. We offer all of the forms for free and give extra copies if they need it (they are in color and some orgs don't have access to a color copier).

We have only done one FR that was out of town but the org wanted us to raise the price of each candle a little and say that the price included shipping. It was a small group so it worked out to approx. what shipping would have been and we shipped each order to the actual person. If you shipped it to the actual org, I would think it was their responsibility to make sure it was packaged correctly to ship to a person. Maybe you could include some notes/instructions about how to wrap the candles?

For local orders, we have both broken out the orders by customer and just left the candles in boxes by scent - it just depends on what the org wants and how large the group is.

    HTH!
