Do you heat your votive molds?
If not, then I suppose this is why I'm getting the pin holes (pitting?) on the sides of my finish votives? (using the IGI 4794)
I read Alan's directions on making votives, and he doesn't mention heating votive molds anywhere in his directions, so am I causing my issue?

What Beauties!
My little niece would love one of those-she loves horses!
Good Job on them!

How about Jean Luc? Or Leonardo Davinci?
-
All the ladies at work loved this scent!

I just put in an order last night, hopefully I get a sample of this new scent when my order arrives next week. I just got Vanilla & Amber this week, and I loved it, so of course I had to order some more!

Peak's Sweet Pumpkin Spice has a very nice hot throw & cold throw in IGI 6006 and IGI 1274.

Email Jim. He's probably like me, I tend to check my emails before my voice mails. Good Luck!

If you need a floral, you can't go wrong with French Market! It's definitely a good producers both Hot/Cold in pillars!
This scent is not for me, but my 75 old mother loved it!
The scent "Jade" is my favorite so far!
And my sister loves their "black magic"!

What is your favorite wick to use on voltives?
I'm putting an order into PEAK to make 80 voltives for my boss's wedding. I've made a few of these, but I think I used the wrong wicks (44-24-18Z), and the candle burned rather quickly within 3-5 hours (using IGI 4794 and IGI 1274). And thats been my experience so far, so I thought I'd try using the 36-24-24Z or LX8.
My boss wants them to last longer and not burn all the way to the edges. Am I right in my thinking here?
Do you think one of these wicks would work? What has been your experience? Or do you have a better luck with using another wick? I will be using either the IGI 4794 or IGI 1274 depending on what the boss likes per the samples I plan to give her.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Natures Garden: http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/
They have:
Fresh Squeezed Orange
Orange Sherbert
But I have never smelled them,so I don't know if they would work for you.

Nature Gardens has both....

I just ordered this frangrance, so thanks everyone for the heads up...I'm going to have to make sure I pour the candle before I add my two cents!

Love your work! Where do you find you dried flowers? Or do you do your own?
-
Loving the colors! Absolutely Gorgeous!

Very nice and bright!

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. Someone suggested Lonestar, so I just might order some from them.
Although, I'm looking forward to testing PEAK's new fomulated waxes...

I use PEAK's liquid dyes, and they suggest using 7-10 drops to get a darker color. And I end up with some pretty dark colored candles that are beautiful!
Hope this helps you. GL!

Got an email back from Nachelle...
She advised these two waxes are being discontinued, and replaced with their own formulated wax. She didn't give a time line though.
She also suggested using IGI 1945/4630A as a suitable alternative for IGI 6006. Has anyone used this wax? What are you opinions on this wax?
-
Thanks Sara!
I shot alan an email off after I posted this thread. I sure do hope its only temporary thing, because I love the creamy look 6006 give me on my candles.

Does anyone know why PEAK is no longer offering IGI 6006 and the Mottle blend for pillars? I went to order some tonight, and both of those wax's are no longer listed on their web site.

I really like PEAK's Chocolate fudge...smells like chocolate...yummie!
-
Good Luck! Sounds like you got a good start!:smiley2:

Well, I was curious about these, so I bought one at Walmart last night. I burned it today, and I wasn't really impressed. I get a better hot throw burning my own tarts then I did with the one that came in the package (rose & vanilla scent). I got a coupon for some refills, maybe I'll try another scent for the heck of it!

I'm testing the Wild Cherry now. I like it, I think. I would consider it a medium strength FO. It kinda has a 'sweet' smell, puts me in mind of koolaid brand cherry.
That was my favorite Koolaid flavor when I was a kid!
IGI 4625 which wicks?

For 3x6, I would use the 24 flat braid wick. Have fun!
