Are you talking about after the wax is melted? It will measure out to 20oz. I always use 1 oz. per pound of wax which is 6 or 7%. I'm not good with percentages.

The only one that I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is a window paint scraper. I have a glass top stove that I have my presto on and when I pour or dip from it I'm always sloppy. I didn't want to use metal to scrape up drops of wax so I thought of using the window scraper. I use it on my counters also.

I pour mine and let them cool overnight in the box they came in and then next day trim wick and then put lid on. I don't see how you could put the lids on as soon as you pour them unless they are talking about covering them with a box or styrofoam cooler.

I vote for BCN also. I've been using them for a year with no problems.

I just made my first chunk pillar using 1343. Heated wax to 190 degrees. Am I supposed to still get the rusted look on the outside of the pillar? I followed the directions that are on the board.

Jameel, I'm not an expert on Web Pages, but I do know what I like and don't like. I do like yours because it looks soft and pretty and if that works for you, go for it. Customers also know what they like and don't like.

Steve, that is a very nice candle, love the color. I just went thru the same thing. I was sick for about a week and even after I was all better I just did not want to make candles at all. I think I was just burnt out. I went about a month like that and had to make myself start back. Hope everything gets better for you.

Very very nice chunks. I haven't tried doing chunk candles yet but hope mine turn out just as nice.

Just last week I developed a "air hole" as I call them. I poured three jars and just one had the hole. Still haven't figured it out. I use the 4630 and it does need to cool slowly. I just use a styrafoam cooler. If there is a slight dip I use my heat gun to even them out.

I just made my first pillar today. Hope mine turns out pretty like yours.

Welcome to the boards. You will find a lot of answers to questions here. If you can't find them ask, someone here will have the answer. You will have a lot of frustration but a lot of fun and satisfaction when you make your first good candle. You will need to test a lot also. I started out with a kit (container) to see if this was what I wanted to do. It's an addiction but have a lot of fun. Good luck.
