  1. Are you talking about after the wax is melted? It will measure out to 20oz. I always use 1 oz. per pound of wax which is 6 or 7%. I'm not good with percentages.
  2. The only one that I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is a window paint scraper. I have a glass top stove that I have my presto on and when I pour or dip from it I'm always sloppy. I didn't want to use metal to scrape up drops of wax so I thought of using the window scraper. I use it on my counters also.
  3. I pour mine and let them cool overnight in the box they came in and then next day trim wick and then put lid on. I don't see how you could put the lids on as soon as you pour them unless they are talking about covering them with a box or styrofoam cooler.
  4. I vote for BCN also. I've been using them for a year with no problems.
  5. Thanks ladies. I 've just started doing pillars and will have more questions I'm sure. Thanks again. Brenda
  6. I just made my first chunk pillar using 1343. Heated wax to 190 degrees. Am I supposed to still get the rusted look on the outside of the pillar? I followed the directions that are on the board.
  7. I never would have thought that I would like a black candle but that is beautiful
  8. Very pretty. Love the colors.
  9. Jameel, I'm not an expert on Web Pages, but I do know what I like and don't like. I do like yours because it looks soft and pretty and if that works for you, go for it. Customers also know what they like and don't like.
  10. Very pretty, love the colors. Hopefully mine will look as good as yours.
  11. They all are so pretty. Love the deep colors
  12. It's all very pretty. I'm certain she will love it.
  13. All of them are beautiful. Love the Black Rasberry Vanilla.
  14. Have you tried any of the zinc wicks, or don't you like them? That's what I use in my jj's with 4630.
  15. You won't have any left,........ but if you do or someone forgets theirs, send them to me. I'll email my address.
  16. Those are so cute. She should enjoy those alot.
  17. Steve, that is a very nice candle, love the color. I just went thru the same thing. I was sick for about a week and even after I was all better I just did not want to make candles at all. I think I was just burnt out. I went about a month like that and had to make myself start back. Hope everything gets better for you.
  18. Very very nice chunks. I haven't tried doing chunk candles yet but hope mine turn out just as nice.
  19. Hi Randy, Just last week I developed a "air hole" as I call them. I poured three jars and just one had the hole. Still haven't figured it out. I use the 4630 and it does need to cool slowly. I just use a styrafoam cooler. If there is a slight dip I use my heat gun to even them out.
  20. I just made my first pillar today. Hope mine turns out pretty like yours.
  21. Welcome to the boards. You will find a lot of answers to questions here. If you can't find them ask, someone here will have the answer. You will have a lot of frustration but a lot of fun and satisfaction when you make your first good candle. You will need to test a lot also. I started out with a kit (container) to see if this was what I wanted to do. It's an addiction but have a lot of fun. Good luck.
  22. Yes they are. :smiley2:
