Peach Patch
Just Peachy
Only a couple :-)
EDIT: you already said Just Peachy..... great minds think alike?

Anyone know of a good company that has reasonable prices for printed zip bags? I ordered these bags and will put a label on them.
Eventually I would like to have printed bags like these ones, with my logo and graphics.
Any suggestions will be appreciated :-)

I label mine with a warning sticker on the bottom and a hang tag on the jar. Here is an example of one of my labels.

I just use hemp rope, beads, and a business card for the label.

I love the jar and candle, but maybe with a different lid??
Well, I tried a couple other lids and wanted to go with something I haven't seen before. I've been getting a lot of compliments on this lid, especially on the frosted candelina jars. I may offer a couple different choices for lids when I start selling. Thanks for all the compliments :-)

Good colors for that scent. They look great.

Looks very nice :-)

thanks for all the replies. I think I may stick with candlescience for wax. I love their scents too. And yes, Michaels is way overpriced. Their wax is poor IMO.

Can you give more info plz? What palm wax did you use and wick size? I've been wanting to do palm in my status jars but didn't know if palm came in container form?? Very purty...love the look of the antique sandalwood!
Sure. I used the frosted palm wax from Candlescience. They suggested I use the CSN 14 wick, but I had to wick up to the CSN 16. I think because I use 8% FO instead of the recommended 6%. They sell 2 container palms at CS. Glass Glow and Frosted. HTH :-)

I like the colors and the mold. I just made a 3x6 pillar in those exact colors...I think it's sexy! Cotton Candy though...not very manly .
No, not manly at all. He wanted black and red votives, status jar, and this moon. All cotton candy lol Buta ya know... I am a man and do like the scent. I just wouldn't want to have EVERYTHING in that scent. Maybe a votive or some tealights.

Scented clockwise: Baby Powder, Antique Sandalwood, Smoke and Odor Eliminator, and Golden Rose. These are 12oz. Status Jars with wooden tops from CandleScience.

This was a request by a friend. Not sure if I like the way it came out, but it is my first multi-colored moon. It was cold poured. He wanted it scented with cotton candy.

ECO 10 is the wick I use. I use IGI-6006 wax. The jars are the frosted candelina jars from candlescience :-)
Wicking the container wasn't too bad. The strong scents are a problem though. The lighter scents work very well with a single wick.

I'm gonna try to use some ice trays as well. I found out today that palm doesn't like silicon too much. It comes out easy, but leaves the mold a mess. What kind of palm are you using? I tried some container frost palm and it worked well.

I was just talking to my fiance the other day about me switching to palm wax for my melts. I'm glad you posted this. I was curious what they would look like. They look great!

Those are nice. They look kinda like the ones I use for my candles. Those look like 4oz and the ones I use are 8oz though.

Oooo, I love them with wooden tops! I've never seen that before.
I was aiming for something I've never seen, so went with that combo. CS talked me out of the wooden caps and I received the frosted glass ones. They said the wooden ones wouldnt fit as well and would be too tight. Boy were they wrong. I asked them to throw in a free wooden cap so I can see for myself. The wooden ones fit perfect and the frosted glass were very tight. They shipped me replacements. 4 dozen of them. They even paid shipping both ways. Gotta love CandleScience :-)

Looks great!

I live in Largo and also order from CS.

Looks like someone may have put some broken dye chips on it and hit it with a heat gun. I've done that before and got the same look, but I used many more chips.
-
Thank you, I was going to try that, but from the other post I read, I got the impression that they should be on the candle so that it wasn't thrown away.
Some people prefer that, but for me this works better. I think it is safer that there is no paper on the bottom of a candle that will be melted to 100% liquid and have no shell at the bottom.
-
I don't know if this will help any, but I buy 500 shrink bags for under $6 and just throw a votive in and hit it with a heat gun, then stick the label on the bottom. Here is a link where I buy my bags:

Thanks, I didn't think that the leather punch would make a clean cut in cardstock. I'll try it now.
Yea, it makes a nice clean cut in mine :-)
-
Anyone know of any candle suppliers that sell wax in the area of Tampa? TIA!

If you go to Home Depot and look in the tools section, they sell leather punches which will work great. It is a rotary and has multiple size holes, including very small. I use them for my hang tags and also to punch holes in guitar picks for jewelry.
You can also get one from amazon.com:

CSN 16 Wick Too Small For My 3" Status Jar With Palm Wax
in Vegetable Wax & Beeswax Candle Making
Posted
CS recommends I use a CSN 14, but I had a feeling it wasn't going to work, so I wicked my 3" status jars with a CSN 16. The CSN 16 is the biggest CSN that CandleScience carries. I need to wick up, but what would I wick up to in my jar using frost palm wax? What would be bigger than the CSN 16?
Here are some pics after a few hours of burn:
