I want to start making soy embeds, but not sure if urethane or silicone molds will release the easiest without a mold release spray. I use Genwax Votive wax 100% soy.

Also, what sites, ebay sellers, etc have the best quality and priced molds?

Basicaly, I'm looking for what you see on countertops at stores, those wooden box displays that show off the products on top and have a few drawers underneath where you can store the extra for sale merchandise.

I cannot seem to find these anywhere!

I know! I told them about the breakage too! But they are a holistic store and feel plastic can't be recylced, tho I do beg to disagree . . .

One of my wholesale accounts wants everything in glass. What do you think would work? Nothing I see has a wide enough mouth. I was thinking a bail jar for the scrub, but I hate the silver metal on them all since my company is themed gold. Any suggestions or sites to look at?

I was even looking at the Libby glass candle jars, think they would work for scrubs?

What about adding some beeswax? And if so, what is the ratio? And is there any other type of beeswax than the type I use for B&B?

I have:

Cocoa Butter

Coconut Oil (Fractionated and regular refined)

jojoba oil

sesame oil

sweet almond oil

and beeswax

I want to make a nice body oil with cocoa butter, a thick butter, and also a cuticle balm. How to I go about learning what percentages to use?

I was looking at all the cute rubber/silicone molds out there. Embeds, tart molds, etc. Can 100% soy be used in those? What type, container, votive, etc?

I'm starting to have fun with making my own products using some recipes as guidelines! I need more oils and butters to start experimenting with!

Does anyone know a good California supplier, place, etc I can buy these butters and such locally at a good price?

I love to cook and I think making B&B just got the cook in me all excited!

I am cooling my first ever attempt at a handmade product, just a little cuticle balm, but still, I'm ridiculously excited to test the results!!!!

Does any typical soap mold work? Would you recommend milky way or the soft flexible molds?

Strange, my friend said other soy tarts melted in her burner fine, just not two of the few I gave her.

I had a friend tell me two of the tarts I gave her won't melt. I never heard of that. She said she chopped them up and they still wouldn't melt, just got sorta frosty looking. She burned others on the same burner and they were fine.

The oils I used in them were soy safe and I even have used some of them before with no issues. So far no one else has had a problem. She is using an electric burner and said it is working fine.

Any ideas? Has anyone ever heard of soy not melting? For what reason?

I was thinking of filling a bunch of jars and then adding scent to them when they get ordered. Does anyone else do it that way?

They were sealed and a well known supplier. Good to know.

I just got a bunch of new bottles from a supplier for B&B. Do you clean yours before filling them? If so, how do you sanitize and fully dry them?

1. Best bases in your opinion? What ingredients should I be looking for and how do you avoid that odd bumby feeling some balms get?

2. Best sites for flavor oils? Do you sweeten yours and with what? Would liquid stevia be okay?

3. where to buy the best supplies, like balm holders, tubes, shrink wrap, etc!

4. How do you color them? Like to make tinted balms?
