My last two shipments from MakesScentsCandles had broken jars. I'm sure it's the UPS people. The boxes were more crushed than I have ever seen them. I had 12 in the first shipment and two in this last one. I didn't bother to report it.

It's the first time in two years that I've gotten broken jars. What is up with that?!!

Just talked to MSC and they are replacing what I had broken. It's not fair to us or their company that UPS is throwing their boxes around!!!!! They get their money and we lose!!!

If you are talking about Candle Science (I have seen "CS" used for another vendor, I think), then ITA about Cedarwood Vanilla. I use it in a mix and it is awesome! I also love their Hazelnut Vanilla (I tried using this in a mix with their Black Cherry and it overpowered it).

I was wanting to mix their Black Cherry and Chocolate Fudge. Have you tried that mix?

Test burned my Red Hot Cinnamon today from CS. I thought it was spicy and a good hot and cold throw. Haven't tried any others.

Cedarwood Vanilla - Excellent scent! Good cold and hot throw in paraffin. Strong for me!

You can smell both the vanilla and the cedar! I absolutely love this scent. It's my new favorite!!!!

If it's that good maybe I'll have to give it another try from a few other sources. I tested it once but didn't think it was anything to write home about, except loved the name.

But am I reading the original post right - she uses Butt Naked fragrance but sells it as a different name? Maybe the problem is either the new name isn't as interesting as the original (sorry) or the new name doesn't match well with the fragrance. Or...or...or...who knows about customers sometimes.

I think the FO doesn't match the name of the candle. It did really well for a while, but now it's not moving. It's very slow in retail here, anyway, so I should figure that in also.

LOL! I forgot about this thread! It's not the candle name I want to change. It's the FO inside the candle that I want to change.

I suppose since it isn't moving, it wouldn't matter. I'm thinking that the candle name and scent are not matching up that well. I think I'll change the color as well.

I used to sell a lot of Butt Naked and now it seems no one wants that anymore. I've never liked it and was surprised it did sell.

Can you change a candle scent leaving the name the same. I am having trouble selling my Butt Naked, but I love the name I gave the candle.

Can I keep the name and change the scent?

My last show was the same. Other vendors told me the same thing happened to them.

My sales were down 30% overall from last year. But after the election its been much worse!

I am reconsidering what Spring shows to do because of the recession.

My Pumpkin Crunch by NG is very strong in paraffin. So strong the customers comment on it.

My daughter has a vendor that consigns her rustic woodworking in her store. She told us that all the craft shows, everywhere, are way down.

All the stores where my daughter's boutique is located say their sales are way down from last year. My daughter made $5,000 less this year than last year over the Christmas season. She wasn't able to pay off her accounts at the end of the year like she did last year.
