  1. DW wants some for work so I'm going to try Stone Stew South as suggested. I thought we'd just put it in one of the prim tin plates, but she wants an enclosed container for work. I have seen some of them - those glass globes with a wire mesh cover. (I can see how they would be good if you have cats/dogs too). Trouble is, they are so modern looking.

Has anyone come across any prim-type potpourri dishes that have a cover on them? Any other ideas? I was thinking of a wide-mouth mason-type jars decorated a bit, but wouldn't know where to get the covers, and I really don't think those smelly jelly type lids would allow enough scent out.

    TIA

For some reason I can't enter pictures on candletech anymore so I am trying to enclose a link to the page, it would be 5th one down on left side. It is one of our candle jars but it could work for potpourri well.

  2. But they also withheld information and didn't tell that it was a smoke enviroment. I won a case once on that. The box alone smelled like it was living at Phillip Morris plant and I disbuted it and they made her refund me, they did make me send it back. Paypal gave me back the shipping that I paid in the original auction but I had to pay to send it back, which was fine.

NOW anything I buy, I email and ask, no matter what it is, even a battery.

It won't hurt to try but a little time

IMO this would only be valid for a dispute if the seller stated they were kept in a smoke free environment and then the buyer received them smelling of smoke. If someone is highly allergic to something they should always check with the seller before purchasing items from an auction site (or anywhere, for that matter).
  3. I use two popsicle sticks and clip the top with those mini black (sometimes they are colored) office srping clips. I don't have a picture right now but if you need one, PM me and I will take one to show you.

Holds them real tight and straight....once you have been doing it for a bit, you get real good and quick at it. We have been doing it for 3 years.

  4. I personally would contact paypal if you paid that way, file a dispute with them and ebay. You have nothing to loose. She may not have said that it was a smoke house. But she didn't say it was either. IMO I think that is considered to have with held information she should have shared. What if you were highly allergic and had a really bad reaction.... I would give it a try, you have nothing to loose.

  5. On a personal note refuse to buy from them as one of the owners is also a founder of Gold Canyon Candles and I refuse to support anything that is associated with Gold Canyon Candles.

I like the classic plain one's from Clean Cut http://www.cleancut.com/Products/WickDipper.aspx

Edited to add: I did find the actual overseas mfg of both the clipper and dipper that clean cut carries. I hope to get them sometime next year. Waiting on the approval of a business load and you have to by 25000 of each.

  6. He doesn't have the vegas distribution anymore, he closed it awhile back, he only ships out of Ohio and I think Texas now. I am in vegas and I get some glassware from Ron but it always comes from Ohio! Makes me kind of angry that his website still says Vegas

When I talked with Ron awhile back, he told me their jars are approved by the American Candle ???something or other (I forget the abbreviation). I also have a sample and they are very nice...not the thin imports. Lucky for me in AZ they have a distribution center in Las Vegas and will be moving that one to Southern California...either way yeah! for us Southwestern folks!

I also asked about the 8oz and they will not be around for awhile. I talked with him about the difficulty wicking the 12oz and hinted that the 8oz would be a great item to add. They actually do their own production and thus it's a time consuming process.

  7. Has anybody tried this? Same Stuff

Potpourri Fixative - 1 Pound Natural botanical is used with our fragrances in scenting potpourri. It retains scent well.

edited to add more info:Potpourri Fixative This natural botanical is used with our fragrances in scenting potpourri. It retains scent as long as orris root, yet will not sour. Add your fragrance to this fixative and then add to your potpourri. Use 1 oz of fragrance per 2 to 4 ounces fixative.

    1 lb. $3.50

    5 lbs. $15.00

fixative300.jpgOur potpourri fixative can be used in crafts where scent is desired without the appearance such as trivets, pillows and sachets. Just add any fragrance to our potpourri fixative. It's lightweight and doesn't breakdown. Use 1 ounce of fragrance to two to six ounces of fixative, depending on how strong you want the fragrance or what your application is.

  8. HAND MADE TO ORDER????

That would mean, having 1000 consultants that your order will be filled in about 4-6 weeks. If their so call 1000 sales people are selling as most do for these companies then there is no way they can hand pour these at time of order only. This site to me is bogus. I think they have very few if no sales people and they are trying to impress so others will join.

I know the pyramid avenue. I sold for Gold Canyon for 3 years as a distributor until their big investor decided they should go MLM and I was history.

Can you all guess what I decided to do for a living after that !! :D

  9. I assure you, I don't know anyone associated with Sweet Cup Cakes Candles but I do know that everytime I went to the site yesterday it worked but only the number 1, the 2 and 3 did not. Not sure if they work today, don't have time for them.

One of the greatest things that I love about message boards is the communications that can be established with these post. Yesterday the sweetcupcakecandles website was not working properly and this is why I could not see pictures or prices.

The number one and so forth on the site were not linked to anything so when you placed your mouse on that particular part of the site you did not get a link. I can clearly see today that someone on this message board either owns the site or knows someone that owns the site as for the links are working today. And I have to agree they are pricey!

  10. Lynn if you do that you have to hang one of those goolie type pictures that has a scientist with a third eye in his forehead and put your name on it!!! That will keep them out, it will keep the from DISTURBING YOU because they will believe you are already DISTURBED

    :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

OTFRLMAO that time I cracked myself up, just thinking of this picture and your family thinking oh boy, we better stay out of there, something happened in there we all don't want to catch!!!

Too funny Judi! My workshop will be in my home! (Its now my kitchen) Does that mean if I use the word institution, which this nut house seems to qualify for, that people will not disturb me while I am working and acting like a mad scientist?? Heck, Ill even put up some crime scene tape if it would give me 5 minutes of uninterrupted peace! LOL Thanks for the suggestion my friend! LOL
