  1. I would invest the money now. Once you start making candles you will not stop. There is no sense of buying a starter kit, and then having to buy everything over again. All you really need is wax fragrance molds wicks pour pot and a pot to boil water. Once you start you willl realize what else you need.Buy from a supplier on line. The local stores are to expesive. Soon you will be addicted like the rest of us

  2. Well its finally here.My second shell cane. This I made for my sister. I like making them, I feel like Im playing Plinko, from the Price is right. When I slide the shells down the insert.( Best part is I dont have to put up with the old pervert Bob Barker) I also made my very first balloon candle. That was so Cool. I am addicted. I will post that once I decorate it. Thanks for looking. Cindy:yay:

  3. I went to Bed Bath and beyond. They had one electric Turkey Fryer left on clearance.I used a 20% coupon,so it cost 54.00 The set of pans I bought of of Eay were only 20.00.If they are decent I will give them to my niece as a wedding gift, along with her card. I will let you all know how I do Thanks

  4. I am currently using presto pots to melt my wax. I should of said that. I need a large area so that I can redip my candles. I was thinking of the double boil method, so that I could do that. This turkey fryer sounds great, I will be able to the second dip in the top of the fryer. (Am I Right?) Thanks

  5. I am about to buy some new things for melting my wax. I have allready purchased various sizes of pans of of ebay.I was going to use the double broiler method. The only problem with that is no stove down in my work area. (i dont want the mess upstairs)so I thought may be an eletric plate type device. Now i searched the forum and read about the turk and surf. Is everyone still loving them? I need a melting pot large enough to do redips and other things. Thanks for your help:confused:

  6. Stupid question Shoul my votives loose scent. I really ignored them since my last show.( DECEMBER) They were packed indivdually in a small ziploc type bag. I had an order for some and the scent was gone. They were made from 100% soy. I use 1 ounce to 1 pound. The scents were Just Peachy and Mango Papaya I am confused. Thanks:embarasse

  7. I am not an expert either. I do alot of soy but would not use it for hurricanes. It is to soft and the cane would have to be very thick.I dont think soy would be opaque enough?? I just did two pics in one cane. Finally after the 4th attempt it turned out. I used paraffin, and worked fast. The thing I just learned was only go over the spot once with the ice or cool cloth.Make sure your picture is adhered good before going on.And start at the bottom of the picture. I hope this helps. I think you could do the wrap pic if you move quick and make sure its adhered.Let us know:smiley2:
