  1. I had a booth in the farmer's Saturday Market in the town we used to live in. I did great there. It was only open for 4 hours on Saturday mornings, but my sales were always great. I've also done craft malls and one antique mall in the past; did fine in the craft malls, not good in the antique mall. HTH!
  2. I would also like to know where this forum is. I'd rather know ahead of time who these people are so that if I encounter any of them later, I'll be forewarned and know to watch my step with them. Can someone either post the URL or PM/email it to us?
  3. Ooooooo, I really like Pumpkin Creek Candles! That one gets my vote.
  4. I agree your wording sounds just fine. I'm the same... I don't offer "free samples," but I do include a few goodies in with orders, more or less depending on order size, etc. I'm getting ready to add fabric by the yardage back onto my site, and I'm going to set up to where "swatch packs" can be ordered for a very nominal charge, basically to cover postage plus a little for the fabric and cutting. I like the idea others have posted here about offering "samples" for enough to cover shipping plus a bit.
  5. If your customers are paying for their orders through PayPal, you can use the option right in your PayPal account to pay for and print the labels for shipping the orders. Is that what you mean? Just log into your PayPal account, and there will be a link next to the transaction listing to pay for and print the shipping label. If they don't use PayPal, you can still pay and print at the post office site, http://www.usps.com . Just register on the site and you can use their online services to pay for and print shipping labels, schedule carrier pick-ups, etc. I just print my shipping labels on plain 8-1/2 x 11 typing paper, cut out the label portion, and tape it to the package around the edges (no tape over the barcode, though). HTH!
  6. Just from my web site. Used to do craft shows, consignment, etc. but have scaled back due to my rheumatoid arthritis. :undecided
  7. Please, DON'T use DIY Estores! I had a site with them for about a year, and I'm sorry I wasted my time and money for that long. My site was constantly down, and the woman who owns it (she also owns Prim Mart) was never any help and was often very rude. She's not a nice person at all. She's arrogant, immature, and unprofessional, and I was even less impressed with members of her "staff." I wouldn't recommend her hosting to anyone. DJ Doodles hosting and Create-A-Shoppe are owned by different ladies, and I've heard good things about both, especially DJ Doodles. Nice ladies and good, reliable, caring hosting. And I'm sure the other one mentioned here is great also. But please, don't waste your time or money on DIY Estores or Prim Mart. NOT a good company or group of people to work with at all! I switched to another host where I design, set up, and maintain my own site, but everyone I know who has switched from DIY to DJ Doodle has been super happy with DJ Doodle.
