If that is what soap fairies do... I cant wait to find one for me!! I love that black and blue one, think it is the second one down. Note to self: Order supplies to make soap and tell them I want soap fairies!

That's kinda what I was thinking with it being a fire hazard.. but thought I would ask all you candle makers to be sure! If I hadn't of asked I would have tried to dump some rose petals(left over from Vday) in one of my jar candles, to see what it smelt like. And with it being me.. I think I would be any candle makers worse fear :embarasse.. I just came back from a trip to Walmart and sat at my desk, where my candle I lit waaaay earlier in the day.. was still burning, think this is what you might refer to as a 'marathon' burn.. been burnin at least 8hrs now.

Dang how naive I have been.:embarasse When I see a 'soy' candle, I have always just naturally assumed it was all soy! Do people make 100% soy candles then, or are they all mixed with paraffin and just called soy? sinjun

Ok, so I was browsing my favorite place.. Amazon and found some Lathers candles.. http://www.lather.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=442&idCategory=230 Now I for sure wont be laying out $24. for a candle. But as pretty as it is.. I just got to thinking wont all those rosebuds catch on fire or start smoldering a bad stink when your burning the candle.. or do you think your supposed to dump them out? Sinjun

Thanks Judy! I'll tell ya, you girls(and guys) are going to be the death of me with all the info on this board.. here soon I'll be broke with all the stuff I want to buy and just have to have, with trying everything!

I can say that after looking at everyone here's soap (They made the old fashioned way) I love the varied looks it can have and when I look at a just solid colored bar of glycerin soap that was made in a mold, might have a design on top, be a bit curved, more 3d looking.. sorry to say but I find the glycerin soaps to be downright boring .. save the fishie embed soaps.

I have never seen anything like that before! I assume it is for melting candle wax? How do you get the hole in the pot though?

I dont make or sell anything yet.. but my favorite scent of all time is lavender!

I'm headed to ebay! LMBO I bought some melt and pour type soup at Michael's yesterday and 1 package of the little color dye things, and a package of scent too. I'am going to see if the kids have any little fish laying around and make this my 1st go at making things! Wish me luck!
