  1. I would think that scented jar candles and tarts would be more popular in the North, especially in the New England states, and that pillars and votives would be more popular in the Southern States. As an example. A friend of mine was selling something at one of the big shows in Phoenix, Arizona. She said the boths with scented jar candles were dead, but the one with pillars and votives was hoping. What state are you from, and what is your biggest seller?
  2. I have a case of this wax from a few years ago. The only information I can get on it is that it is a mottling cantainer wax and needs additives added. Is anyone familiar with this wax that can give me some mixing information on. Any info would be helpful.
  3. I am looking for Tart and Container Warning Labels with space to write on them. (can write scent name) I only have found ones for votives. Have checked BCS&N, Candle Science, Millcreek. Anyone know where I could look for them?
  4. Thank you Fern-Marie for your reply. That was enlightning. Can I ask you which soy you are using to make these with?
  5. Yes, I know that, but is the throw that you get from the melted wax greater than if you were just burning it as a jar candle with a wick. It seems that it should be stronger, as you are melting the whole jar of wax.
  6. I tried placing a 8 oz. jar with wide mouth on a warmer. It took about a half hour to melt about 3/4's of the way up. It never got to reaching a full melt before I turned it off. I can't say that the throw was anything special, but then I am not sure if you have to wait until the entire candle melts before getting significant throw. Like your experience with this. How does the throw using this method compare to say just burning it with a wick? Is is stronger once all the wax melts? It seems to me that you would shorten the life of your candle doing it this way. When I say shorten the life, I mean lose the scent quicker. What's your take on it. What's the benifit of doing it on a burner without a wick. Other than safety, I don't see an upside.
