  1. Thanks so much to all of you for the help.

I will try to pour at a slighly higher temperature first and see if that may help. IF not will try warming the jars which i prefer to not have to take that extra step :sad2: .

Its just very frustrating for me as i usually poke for air release halfway into the wax setting and never really had issues like this.

  2. i have never had this happen in the several years i've been making candles until previously....but lately on my 9 oz hex jar candles every so often i am getting "jump lines" in my candle... its like a horizontal air bubble or such that seems to seperate the wax?

has anyone else had this happen or have any idea what the issue may be.

    thanks!

  3. :cheesy2: hmm.. i use j50 which is pretty similar and i have stored container candles over a year and never had any problems. i keep them sealed either with the lid or with seal film and in the case i purchased the jars in and in my laundry room. i think in any even you want to keep them out of the light.

    hth!

  4. a BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who responded !

    i appreciate all your help.

i will take every piece of advice i can get and i figure too the first time even if just a learning experience it will be worth it.

The fundraiser is for a local dancing group of about 30 families so i dont' see that the volume could get too out of hand for me to handle.... we'll see!

i'll keep you all posted! thanks again! ;)

  5. Can anyone give some quick tips on fundraising...

I have been approached by a friend of one of my candle customers whether or not i would be interested...

i only do tart melts and jar candles,etc....

I am interested but any info anyone can provide me with as far as pricing, etc. Do i price as i would for wholesale accounts, do they pay upfront? should i require a minimum, etc!

    thanks!

any ideas, tips, suggestions would so kindly be appreciated!
