What causes a wick to mushroom? As you can tell, I am new at this and dont' know how to solve this. Thanks!

I am new at this and printed labels on my home hp printer - used clear labels from office depot and when i put them on the candle, the labels lost all clarity. It all turned black and looked terrible. Do I need to buy special labels?

Thanks - i will try the heat gun...didn't put lids on for 10-12 hours, so that probably isnt it....but, you are right..it is a swirling looking appearance.

Using astor J223 - i wonder if i put the lids on the candles too early...could this mess up the top appearance?

New at this and not sure what has happened. My container candles (some of them, luckily not all) have begun to get a "mottled" appearance on the top. Anyone know what I did? Thanks up front for any help.
