I have had the cracking a few times but I just took my hea gun a zap the jars and they come out fine. I use 8ooz jellies, 16oz mason, 9oz hex & 3.75oz hex jars. In the cvool weather I heat my jars but in the warm weather I don't heat. And I pour at about 175-180.

I use it and love this wax.. It's a preblend and the only thing I use is UV blocker.

I think there are a few others here that use it too..

Don't mean to hijack but I have a question for those of you that do make incense. When I see them for sale in stores in the malls, the end is usually painted a color to coordinate with the scent name. What do you use for the color. Regular paint? non-flammable craft paint, what?

Myself I don't color mine.. I leave them they way I get them..

Walmart always has a ton of fabric on sale. I purchased about 5 yards and it cost me a total of 10.00:yay:

I did the same thing... Hit Walmart sale rack and paid like a dollar a yard..

Not sure where to put this but is there a place online where you can get the incense supplies AND the burners for them?

I dont know alot about incense but it seems to be selling well around here so I thought I would give it a try :-)

I get my supplies from Wholesales Supplies Plus. You can get 1000 sticks for $5. That's the cheaps I found online.

It took awhile but I finally got a hold of someone (a guy).. He told me that there was some problem with some of their labels and that they had to be pulled. He did say that if I wanted they could ship out the one labels today and the others Monday.

Morning everyone..

I'm trying my hand at Pillars.. But I'm not having much luck.. I'm using 1343 wax, 1/2 tsp Vybar, 3tbp Stearic Acid, 24ply wick & 1 oz of FO (vanilla) to a pound of wax. When I did a burn test yesterday I did 3, 3hr burns and VERY little burned down but I did have a nice size pool. I also notice that it looked like it was sweating on the sides but when I touched it, it was Fo. I know that vanilla is a hard scent to work with and know that most likely I will have to wick up but what can I do about the sweating...

Any help would be great...

I too use the wick stickums...I find that if i heat my jars before I put my wicks in that the stick really good. They stick so good that when I'm done with a tester and go to remove it to clean my jars that I have one HECK of a time getting them out...

I'm in the same boat as you....I'm in Balto, MD and the temps here have been the same and I plan to do a show (I hope) in Aug myself, but have been wondering about the heat and what it would do to my candles.. It will be set up in a parking lot with no shade.. I have been going over and over this for the past few weeks.

I use both chips & liquid dye (working on using just liquid).. I still working on my orange chips..I use a half a chip per lb to get a peach color and it comes out a pretty peach color..

I just had to share...For a few months now I have been checking out Laser printers but haven't been happy with the ones I was checking out.. So last night I came across one that I really like.. It's a HP Color Laserjet 2600n. So I told hubby-to-be about it and he's going to buy it for me..I went and ordered it this morning..

I can't want to get it....I'm so tickled PINK.....
